This will be my first build so if having a modular PSU will make things a little easier then that's great, even if it is just less cables to work around. I swapped out RAM seeing as the price difference between 1600 and 1866 was only £8, and went with the 850 PSU just in case I need it further down the road. Added in the faster RAM and PSU the final build is below:

Case – Fractal Design R3

MB – Asus Sabertooth Z77

RAM – Corsair CML8GX3M2A1866C9R LP Vengeance 8GB 1866MHz

GPU – EVGA GF GTX 660Ti 2GB GDDR5

CPU – Intel i5-2500k

HD – Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM (x3)

PSU - Corsair HX850 Professional Series

Once again thanks for all the advice guys, really appreciated.

Thank for all the info guys.

@believer258: I had thought about adding a second graphics 660 a little later so that is something I want to consider regarding my PSU. Or at that point would it just be better to go with a single, more powerful card?

Also, what is the main benefit of a semi/modular PSU? I remember the Tested guys mentioning that in Jeffs build.

Any recommendations would be very much appreciated as to what parts could be improved. Build is below:

Case – Fractal Design R3

MB – Asus Sabertooth Z77

RAM – Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A 8GB 1600MHz

GPU – EVGA GF GTX 660Ti 2GB GDDR5

CPU – Intel i5-2500k

HD – Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM (x3)

If someone could point me towards the best power supply to go with this build that would be great, I really can’t get a sense of what a good deal is regarding them.

Thanks in advance.

About 90% of anything they say, seriously, but that's how opinions work so it's cool.

Only two levels in and I'm liking it from a pure action game standpoint. I do miss some signature DMC stuff, like how the stinger move is executed and the lack of lock-on in general, but it's a reboot. I wasn't going into this expecting a sequel to DMC4, I went in expecting an action game with some Devil May Cry DNA and so far that's exactly what I'm getting. Only real complaint is how easy the game is so far, it's kinda ridiculous.

Hopefully this year I'll be there to see MK9, I think it's amazing how well the community has supported that game since its release.

I had this exact same problem on PC, picked it up in the steam sale.

Picked up Sleeping Dogs and Space Marine for £16 today in prep for my new PC next month, really wish I had grabbed Dishonored when it was £15 though.
