Since finals are over I can start watching anime again. I got caught up on Re: Zero tonight and I'm still liking this. Though the main character's a little bit dumb and less serious than I think I would like. Though after that last scene in the most recent episode where he seems to get poisoned, then his arm gets ripped off and he dies by what looked like his head getting crushed (which was a pretty brutal and tense scene for this anime) I hope that it will spur him to becoming more serious and intelligent. I know I wouldn't want to feel something like that again even if I knew I'd come back to life. This episode turned into a horror anime for a bit at the end there. I think the pacing of this one is a bit slow, but I think it works especially with how they ended the last couple episodes. Does anyone know if this is going to be a 24-26 episode series or only 12-13 episodes? If its 24-26, then I think the pacing is fine for now.

Where does one start with JoJo? Should I start at the beginning?

Lost Village was uh interesting this week. It seemed kinda silly.

About to finish up NG+ and I'm trying to get my 30 darkmoon blade covenant items. They made it an extremely rare drop and I haven't been summoned a single time with the covenant item on. This is reminding me of that fucking pure bladestone farm, which I must have done for about 10 hours and never got. Its still the only reason I never got platinum in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 2 and at this rate I won't get it in Dark Souls 3 for the same reason. I just don't have the patience or time to farm those things for that long anymore.

Other than that I'm enjoying NG+ a lot. I think like Dark Souls 2 its the most fun part of the game. This is probably because you need to sort of spread out your points more if you wanna do a melee and magic character so you don't really get comfortable in your build until around the end of the game. At least thats what it was like for me. I also have a lot of fun summoning and being summoned for NG+ bosses.

EDIT: So today I decided to just put down a white sign soapstone in the area the Aldritch faithful invade to see how active it actually was at my SL and the dude I got summoned in for was being invaded nonstop. I think they need to change Darkmoon Blade to be similar to the Aldritch faithful and Farron people so that when anyone in the anor londo/irithyll areas gets invaded you can be summoned in to help rather than only the way of the blue people, Because I seriously doubt many people have their way of the blue covenant item equipped.

Ugh maybe I should just give up on it for this character and try to make a low SL pvp character who might actually get summoned in to farm this stuff.

I noticed this after getting that wolf ring +1. I was getting staggered out of attacks by daggers still. This is kinda lame since I was hoping to make a pure melee heavy armor dude for my next character, but I guess that will have to wait until (if) they fix it. Has From acknowledged it? I mean if you can just replace false with true in the game files it can't be that hard to fix if they've been made aware of it.

There is a spot I believe in Lothric castle where you can spin your camera and have 2 bonfires on screen at the same time. There's some pretty strange placement of them, but I didn't feel like it detracted from my experience at all.

5 years and 5 months ago I made this epic first post. Though I feel like I definitely made a post on the P4 or DP ER's before this, but that's not showing up. Man looking at some of these posts makes me realize that I apparently did not like capitalizing words 5 years ago or using punctuation for that matter.

" All they can really do is get better at maintaining the illusion. When the guy runs out to throw the bottle on the fire in MoH for instance, it wouldn't have taken much to throw in a 'Oh snap, your gun has jammed!' moment - sure it'd be contrived, but it'd be a cleaner solution than just making the guy invincible. Another glaring example is the bit where you can't shoot down the helicopter right at the end of CoD 4 (and I remember doing the load / try again dance with that one too, because I thought it might be a good ending / bad ending thing), but at least they contrived it so the rockets missed the helicopter, rather than just showing them hit but not do anything. Big Order is an odd one. I want to like it, but I feel like the main character isn't using his power in the way that an intelligent person would. Maybe that's what they're go for though, but I hope not because that would be boring. When you give a character a power like this, you should make them intelligent and then come up with creative and intelligent ways to create conflict instead of making them like your average male anime protagonist and creating conflict by having him forgot his power can completely control people. There were at least three times in this episode that he should have used his power and he just ignored it. But then there was one part that was pretty good. When he shoots everyone in the room using his power to keep them from actually being killed in order to turn the tides in that video conference was well done. I guess he could be trying to prove himself to the ten and trying to not completely dominate people's free will or something, but if that's what they're going for they need to have the main character say that at some point. It could be just him thinking to himself "I don't want to completely make people into puppets" or something. But moments like that video call thing give me hope that they're going to do some cool stuff so I'll keep watching. Lots of anime start off on poor footing and then improve. I remember thinking Kill la Kill was dumb until like 5 or 6 episodes in and it changed for the better (at least in my opinion). Well that's my rant on Big Order's first 3 episodes.

Its still Final Fantasy 7 for me. Its got a lot of flaws, but man did I play that game a lot. I've probably beaten that game doing as much of the side content as possible at least 10 times (which is probably 100 hours each playthrough for all the side stuff being done). It also shaped my video game interests. Without having played that I never would have given games like Persona 3 and 4 a shot and I love those games too, which also means I probably would have never stumbled upon Giant Bomb as well.

This is an interesting poll and all, but what I really want to know is which boss had the most dignity?

@happenstance: Durarara is pretty cool. It has probably my favorite antagonist in an anime. Tokyo Ghoul I wouldn't recommend buying, but watch like the 6 episodes or something online and decide if you like it because the manga is great (the anime changes things in some dumb ways around the end of the first season). I personally love Mirai Nikki, but I think as with Tokyo Ghoul you should sample it before buying a blu ray since anime blu rays are kinda expensive.

This game must have pulled in a bunch of people new to souls games because a lot of my invaders have been quite easy to beat and I suck at souls pvp. It could be the new weapon skills though. I am using the wolf great sword and the spin attack followed up with the jump attack work pretty well and the jump attack has this really nice stagger if you reach someone before the sword slams down.
