I encoundered the 3DS "BSoD" almost immediately after installing the March 24th system update while playing Ghost Recon.... After contacting Nintendo support, I was asked to send my 3DS in for "repair". It will be send via FedEx this afternoon (4/6). I hear Nintendo's turnaround time is quick, but well see. I'm assuming they'll just be sending me a new system...
@AndyPhifer: As posed in another thread. I'm also locked out of the Strip. When ever I try to enter, the xbox locks up, black screen, and I get an corrupted save.
I'm at a point now where I can't seem to progress any further because of a real nasty bug. My 360 locks up completely whenever I try to enter The Strip. After rebooting, I can't "continue" the game either because the Auto-save is corrupt. Luckily, I stagger saves, rotating through 4 save slots to protect myself from this sort of nonsense. If I delete the corrupt auto-save and then load one of my manual saves I'm able to play again, but as soon as I try to enter The Strip it attempts to load and then I get a black screen and a hard lockup again.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I can try to get around this? I've installed the game, so it occurred to me that I could delete it from the 360 and try playing from the DVD again but I haven't tried that yet.
After seeing what both Sony and MS are bringing to the "motion control" table, I think it's pretty clear that one company is trying to mimic Nintendo and go after casual players, while the other is focusing on core gamers.
Sony's solution looks much more fun and precise to me... but Mommy, Daddy, Billy and Susy will probably be intimidated.
Wow, this game looks amazing... I will buy. Playing through Kingdom Hearts now, then FFX. I like it when developers ignore the fan-boys and instead opt for freedom in design. You can't please everyone so don't even try.
