It's an ok novelty act, and there's nothing wrong with that. I like plenty of novelty acts, but don't care much for Babymetal. You should check out Hevisaurus, they're a good way of getting kids into metal (at least if they're Finnish).
Galerians on the Playstation. The box made it look like it would be the next Final Fantasy, promising amazing story, lots of cinematic cutscenes, etc. Since it also came on 4 discs I thought I would be playing it over the summer holiday. As it turned out the game was a shitty Resident Evil clone with a whiny teen protagonist who kills enemies by seemingly screaming at them. On top of that those discs must have been 90% cutscene data, since finishing the first disc took about an hour of gameplay time. I didn't play it after that, but kept it as a reminder to always read about a game before buying it.
I don't really collect figurines, but I did pick up a few on my trip to Japan, mostly to do with Galaxy Express 999. Here's most of my current "collection". As a bonus I've also taken a photo of about half of my plushies on a shelf, just cause.
Valkyria Chronicles is a great turn based action RPG. Should be pretty cheap now since it's a few years old. Uncharted 2 is the best of the series and should be experienced. Heavy Rain is an interesting and in many ways unique adventure game which I enjoyed, despite having some flaws in the storyline and voice acting.
I used to visit Gamespot all the time until Jeff was fired and other talented guys started leaving. I've started in the past year to occasionally look at their reviews, but don't really pay any attention to their community features or video content.
Incredibly shocked and sad because of this. He made a lot of people smile and laugh, myself included. I never unfortunately had the chance to meet him in person. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Ryan.
