I believe that the increase in these kind of incidents is related to general unhappiness in our societies as well as the amount of guns people have. If everyone would feel safe, financially stable, have equal chances to succeed and have someone to talk to if troubled, then these kind of incidents would certainly go down. I know in my country two of these kind of incidents happened in succeeding years after a decade of lowered resources on youth mental healthcare, it had never happened before.

Anyway, that's my two cents. I certainly hope the amount of victims will be overestimated by the media reports.

There's no such a thing as bad marketing. These kind of moves are usually made on purpose.

Absolution is meant to be kinda offensive (don't forget we're talking about the guys behind Kane and Lynch here).

I thought of the same thing, the amount of hurt from this is minuscule compared to the amount of free publicity they're getting. I've already seen this mentioned on numerous gaming blogs and sites, being free advertising for them basically. I highly doubt anyone would say they are not buying the game because of this.

I expect that US will have only state mandated Obamacare clinics that administer healthcare only to those who are loyal to the liberal communist cause. Sugar and salt will be banned and the only restaurants will be state acquired Taco Bells or possibly Pizza Huts, serving only healthy, low calorie meals. Obama will be declared The Beloved Commander in Chief and Eternal President, with each state having no less than sixty 30 foot Obama statues. Christian churches will be closed, replaced by mosques, and islamist atheism will be declared the state religion. "In Obama we trust" will be printed on all US notes. Diesel cars will be banned and only green energy will be allowed to be produced, leading to constant blackouts, with priority being that the Obama banners and statues must be lit at all times.

Or maybe it'll be more of the same, who knows.

expect for shutting down is a bitch.

1. Create a New Shortcut in your desktop.

2. In the Target line, put: C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00

3. Change the icon and ename the shortcut to whatever you want. I chose "Shutdown" for obvious reasons.

4. Put the shortcut somewhere safe (i.e. some folder you know you won't move it, for example, C:\Program Files). You can set it to hidden after pinning it to the Start screen.

5. Profit. Now you have a 1-click shutdown button on your Start screen.

Another alternative is to just press alt + f4 on the desktop to bring up the traditional shut down menu.

I'm definitely happy I don't live in the US, politically there seems to just be two extremes with not much middle ground. Some accuse Obama about being a socialist without understanding what they're talking about, and taking things out of context (which happens from both sides). I live in a country with one of the highest tax rates in the world, people generally feel safe and happy. There is very little corruption. We have a coalition government consisting of six different parties (out of nine in total in the parliament), forces them to work together and make compromises rather than become extreme in their views. Seems to be working very well. No place is perfect of course, but I just wish people especially in the US would try and work together more and find the middle ground.

I am interested, but certainly not buying it on day one. I have my worries about them forcing gimmicks into games just because they can, which was done a lot with the Wii, only console I sold after a year and never looked back. It all comes down to the amount of quality games in the end.

I think it's the same as people arguing about being circumcised or uncircumcised, both sides are as insecure about their dicks and want to pat themselves on the back before jerking off.

You shouldn't care if someone doesn't like what you like, especially when it's something as insignificant as video games. My favourite FF games are V and VII, I'm sure many would say they're the worst ones, but I love them, and that's all that matters to me.

I enjoy both games, but I've always enjoyed desolate, atmospheric and occasionally hilarious post-apocalypse worlds more than fantasy, so I'll say Fallout.
