I don't think Episode 3 will ever come out.  I think a proper HL3 will be made instead.  However, I don't think it will be next.  I think a new Counterstrike will be next.

I promise you this service will go nowhere and quietly disappear in about a year, just like the vitality sensor.

This DID happen to me, but I was able to load a back up save.  It added about 1:30 to my play time and robbed me of all of my unlocked abilities.  The game was bad, but that pissed me off something fierce

Don't ask me what the buttons do...just press them and figure the shit out.
