Uplink, Darwinia, Defcon...man, these guys can do NO wrong!!!

Yeah, they've done some good games. They seem like a nice bunch of dudes too. Two of the guys from them were on the GameSpot UK podcast once, and it was really cool. They had talked about some really interesting stuff."
You wouldn't happen to know which episode, would you? I was talking to sebFlyte (Alex Sassoon Coby) on Twitter, and apparently he went to university with those guys. That's pretty cool. :)"

They are cool doods. I keep in contact with the guys from back in my BonusStage days. They sent us a review package for Darwinia that had the game + the soundtrack. The soundtrack was only, like, 6 songs...but they were all created by DJs that use Game Boys and Ataris and shit to make their music. Really rad stuff indeed. I'm hoping we get Defcon here at work one of these days, because that game makes you paranoid as FUCK!

Uplink needs a sequel that integrates everything to the desktop, so you have different "apps" that use a different window each and can all be moved or minimised or whatever like standard OS windows, but of course in reality they're all part of the game still, just structured in this way to add to the immersion. Making a fake OS screen was a tad silly. But, great game still, best hacking game there is for people who don't actually want to learn. It's cyber punk-ish instead of realistic, but it treads a fine line between immersion and coolness.
But whatever, I look forward to Introversion's Subversion, just wish they had made an Uplink sequel instead of Multiwinia.
Hacking into the Social Security place is god damn hard. I had to give up and I lost a rank. Luckily I managed to get the guys to pay me half before I started... Having to destroy the proxy and then find a password to get in is too difficult for how few hops I can have at the moment.
Uplink is often infuriatingly hard, adn probably the most stressed a non-competitive game has ever gotten me. But nothing more satsifying than completing your required hack, deleting the logs and disconnecting with only a second left on the tracer
