yeah I only play games in my room and I've got a small TV so usually 4-5 feet away from the screen is where I sit, and that just happens to be where my bed is. I prefer comfortable gaming.
If you haven't already reset. I had the same problem and the first question is have you tried to do any quests lately that you haven't finished, this happened to me and because it was a cut scene I couldn't fight or go to the start menu. If that's the problem try leaving the area and re entering thats what worked for me.
