And to think they're still pushing the online part of the PS3 sponsorship ads on TV. You could probably do them for inaccurate advertising or something.
If you stick to the mainstream you're bound to be behind somewhat when it comes to the independent scene. Modding and just what is possible with tools out there these days has come a long way and there's some really impressive stuff being made. Not to mention that some of the stuff made by very keen, intelligent people looking for a career in video games development, while not content-extensive, has every now and again caused a stir for a long time now (demo-scene et al.)
Reminds me of Farbrausch's intro music for their demo fr-08: .the .product. Ah, you probably have no idea what I'm on about but anyway, demoscene for teh win! @Doctorchimp: Dude, I think they're watching it because it's a day of Star Trek, what other reason do you need? lol Actually, I think the idea is terrible. Marathons just make me sick (physically and of things) and besides, I'd need to watch EVERY episode! Just not at once...
