@SuperGary That was a fun level. The challenges were fun and tricky. Plus the checkpoints made it much less rage inducing. It made it easy to jump right back in. Good design my friend!

I finally got my Wii U gamepad back!!! So in celebration I made a simple level with a cute little theme. Help Mario get through the kitchen. Be sure to avoid those pesky Goomba roaches though.

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the Pels game from today, but from the sounds of it AD has found his game. I guess he just needed the All-Star game to get his groove back or something. This is the AD us Pels fans know and love, this is the one that people were saying could be MVP! I'm starting to feel myself get sucked back into the season. Injuries and poor play had kinda broken me with the Pels. I still loved them, but it had to be from a distance so I didn't get too hurt. Now I'm starting to let them back into my life a bit. They've only played two games since the All-Star break (vs Sixers and at Pistons), so I'm still a bit skittish, but I feel myself inching back closer.

@eribuster: Well the Wii U can play Wii games correct? Maybe I'll go pick up Xenoblade Chronicles first, and see if I'm left wanting more. Xenoblade Chronicles X just seems so pretty and expansive that I wanted to give it a shot. Plus almost most importantly.... MECHS!!!!! haha Well thanks again for all the tips and talking to me about the game. I really appreciate it.

@cav829: Thanks. I read your review and now you've got me thinking. I think I'm still leaning toward getting it, but I just need to know what I'm getting myself into. Thanks again!

Hey duders. My birthday is coming up shortly and this game is on my list of possible gifts. So I'm curious to see if it will mesh with my style. I've played a couple JRPGs before like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 10 and 12 (I think it was twelve at least haha), but not a ton of JRPGs. I've got an idea of what the game is like thanks to the quick look, but with such an expansive game I'm sure it didn't cover a bunch. So I come asking y'all to help me. Are the systems super dense? What are some of the most fun things about the game in your opinion? I'm really interested in checking the game out, but I just want to make sure that it'll be a game I enjoy before getting it.

So the dog my girlfriend and I are fostering completely destroyed the Wii U gamepad. He punctured the screen so that's broken and I can't even use the buttons. He really did a number on it.

So all mighty Giant Bomb community, what are my options? I know there is the Nintendo support, but this stuff wouldn't be covered by a warranty. Has anyone used this route yet? It says it'll be $100 while a new controller would be $150. I don't know if they'll replace everything for the $100 or if they'll make me buy a new one for $150. Anyone been down this road before? Thanks for any help.

@themasterds: Awesome, and very nice patch notes. I will hopefully get a chance to check it out later today. I hope I can get a little farther than last time!

@themasterds: Oh well if it doesn't become an issue maybe leave it in. I hadn't gotten much further so I didn't know if it was constantly pushing on you to move a bit faster or what.

Now to do some of my own promotion. I made a level just last night, and it is pretty tough. It already has the Super Expert ranking on it. It is called

The Mario Comedy: Mario's Inferno

The plumber Mario has found himself in the depths of Hell after running and escaping from some wicked beasts. He must travel through all the levels of Hell in hopes of returning home. He traverses from Purgatory, over the River Styx, through the City of Dis, and into the final ninth frozen level of Hell with Lucifer himself. Can Mario hold out long enough for a gift from Heaven to be sent down so he can defeat Lucifer or will Mario be doomed to a life in Hell?

I remade each level of Hell with a challenge based on what was written in the Divine Comedy. I always found the Divine Comedy interesting, and so I thought I'd make it in Mario. It is pretty long, but there are two checkpoints to help along the way. Also be sure to have your game face on since there are no power-ups to match the nature of Dante from the poem (he was a poet "half-way" through life who escaped some beast to find himself awake in Hell and led by another poet Virgil, not powerful just there to see everything in Hell really). I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks for playing everyone! I'd like to know what everyone thinks. This is my first super hard level, and I'd be interested to hear how I did, thanks!

@themasterds: Yeah maybe that would help. I don't know if that would screw anything up later on in the level. I felt like I got a hang of the wall jump there, but then all of a sudden I lost it. I don't know if that has happened to anyone else, but it seems to happen to me a lot on harder levels. If you tweak it be sure to post it here, and I'll give it another shot!
