Hey y'all. I'm looking at picking Destiny up at some point and I was wondering if the PS4 exclusive content was worth getting over the Xbox One version? I have way more friends on Xbox Live so I'd prefer to grab that one, but not if the extra map or weapons are worth it. I doubt I'll have many friends getting the game anyway. Also does the game feel good with random players or are friends a must?

No, but I tend to only play the fun ones. I really don't like horror games for the most part and I've never really been interested enough to try games like Dear Esther or Gone Home. The 'non-games' I like tend to just be simulators which to me are fun.

It's going to turn out that Half Life 3 was in our hearts all along.

...

I didn't enjoy either Half Life game, so I feel like a bad person for saying I don't really care if it never comes out.

I don't think I got past the halfway point of the first Metro game so I think this will be worth picking up.

The Burnout games never became as popular as EA would have hoped. That is why they made Criterion make Need For Speed games instead since they always sell a alot based on the name. I doubt we will see another Burnout.

I liked Burnout 3 on the original XBOX and to some extent Burnout Revenge on 360 but never cared much about Paradise. Burnout is not an open world game for me.

I agree, I feel like we're the minority opinion here but Burnout 3 was my favorite. I think Burnout works better on tracks, especially the crash levels which were all set up perfectly for maximum destruction (and fun).

For me the trouble with Revenge was the rear-traffic checking. I think it messed with the pacing of the game, and Criterion took it as an excuse to put too much traffic on the roads. Takedowns from landing on top of other cars was such a great idea though.

Google Zoe Quinn. Narrow results down to the past week. Throw a dart at your screen and you'll probably land on exactly what you want to know. Most of the shit that went down this week is related to that entire clusterfuck in some way.

PSA: Don't throw darts at your screen.

I really like Namecheap personally. Not for any particular reason but I've never had any trouble from them and it is a pretty simple process to register and manage domains.

You could always start with UPF if it all seems a bit much, Happy Hour was exclusively for the Whiskey Media days, so there is a pretty clear transition period between both shows. Then if you somehow manage to get through all of that, the happy hour will still be there to watch.

I'm actually in a similar position, I've been a premium member since the start, but I stopped watching most content about a year ago due to life circumstances. Now if I want to catch up I honestly don't know where to start, I have a million quicklooks, UPFs and bombcasts to watch it seems.

On topic, the new Battlestar Galactica is ten times better than Star Wars and Star Trek on a ratio of good to bad episodes/movies.

Isn't Battlestar Galactica political science fiction? The Star Wars trilogy is kid-friendly fantasy. It's unfair to compare it to Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica.

Other than being set in space, I think they're all pretty different beasts. Star Wars is a fantasy serial in space, Star Trek is pretty straightforward science fiction, and BSG is a military drama in space. BSG could have been about an aircraft carrier or submarine for all it matters, the military themed interpersonal drama is what it's about. I think comparing them doesn't really work. They all have pretty different appeal.
