@WR311: Yeah I knew if I said 8, fate would HAVE to make the Bombcasts at the same time. :( Well, I'll still be outside of west hall throughout the expo.
I was a lurker in '09 then actually got into E3 in '10 covering it for my college newspaper. From a journalist perspective, I like talking to people. Especially about video games. Its different though as a non-professional journalist since you're not tethered to any sort of appointment at the show and are pretty much free to do what you want. You get to meet tons of different people and I think that's always good. Granted I haven't gone to any other expo other than Anime Expo (which is still at the Los Angeles Convention Center), E3 is less of a clusterfuck since it is an industry and press summit. They're a little more organized than the anime crowd. But, as always, try to experience it for yourself.
@LunarAura: I'm not trying to schmooze my way into E3 but I'm not above it. :P I did the lurking deal in '09 and still was able to meet a lot of cool people, but if you know where the industry parties are at, let me know so I can put on my best schmoozing gear and hat.
@Nonentity: Once I read ping pong, I got instantly excited. But maybe. I've got an idea brewing right now.
