It comes down to what you include in the review. Are server issues included? If Simcity had a perfect launch, but out of nowhere 2 weeks after release the servers dive-bomb and it breaks for a unknowable amount of time, is the review changed? Is it still a "9.5/10" game (or whatever score) stuck in a "0/10" service? Where is the line there?

Reviews. Tricky stuff. Throwing limited opinions out there and calling it some sort of "final word" on it. But hey, I come here everyday to read reviews! Who'm I kiddin'.

As soon as I thought about this, it scared me. I don't really know what the Wii U does now. It has a ton of potential, games like Zombie U have proven that, but what do you guys think the proper stance for Nintendo is now? How does the Wii U fit into a hard-core gaming market with consoles like the PS4 and whatever the new Xbox is going to be?

Seems like a very structured marketing plan, could be kind of restricting things and not showing the really cool stuff. But the lack of any sort of "game" was a bummer.

The problem with tons of characters is that you still, in the end, feel like there's only 10 maybe viable characters. It always feels stuffed with fluff characters, not matter the size of the roster. Not to say that there shouldn't be a good amount, but I feel like SFIVAE has a pretty good amount without being to over-size. I'd take a balanced smaller roster over a imbalanced larger roster any day.

I don't agree with that at all. Sure, actual studying outside of playing the game is necessary if you want to become competitive (learning combos, specific match-ups, frame data...), but anyone can definitely improve basic things such as blocking or footsies and intuitively pick up on elements that will improve their neutral game or movement just by playing a lot.

This. Fighting game theory and fighting game practice are two completely different things. I personally think the only way to improve is to find people you can actually sit down and play with, not just going online and hoping for the best. Someone can sit for hours on eventhubs or shoryuken or the like and read up on tons of stuff, but until they sit down with a controller, it won't go anywhere. Find a friend who is of fairly even skill level, and just starting duking it out. Refer to a more-skilled friend or the internet for tips, but just go for it.

This... is stupid. Stupid Capcom. The gameplay, aesthetic, even your jumps being explosions. Everything. Nice one.

It's pretty massive right now. Ridiculously, hugely massive. I personally think it'll have far more staying power than Myspace or other social networking sites or any sort of internet fad; it's basically a real, working replacement for human interaction that a large population can use. There was a map that showed the connections of facebook across the globe i saw somewhere, it was basically real life. It'll be here for a long, long time.

But, the cool and trendy hipsters and teens might move on, probably to a site that holds onto the exclusivity part of that facebook had at the beginning. but hey. thats a few years off in my opinion. \

EDIT: There's the image i talked about. Pretty wild.
