Best of 2018
I think this list is final...
2018 felt pretty weak compared to the past couple years when it comes to the toppest tier, but the indie scene really stepped it up, and what little we got from the AAA made a grand statement about the state of singleplayer games in the big budget space. Marvel's Spider-Man and Red Dead Redemption 2 came close to making this list because they really put you in the shoes of the characters you played as, in ways few other games have, so it's a testament to the quality of games the indie scene pushed that even those juggernauts didn't make the cut.
