When watching Live Quick Looks, I usually like to have the video on my desktop fullscreen and the chat on my iPad. At the moment, I do this by using the 'popout chat' in the browser but this is not ideal. A dedicated app for displaying live chat would be an interesting thing to devleop.

Is this at all possible with API access? Is this content that is accessable?

I'm not entirely sure what timezone GiantBomb is displaying in the 'upcoming' section, so I'm not sure how long until the random PC game stream is?

Am I right in thinking it's in 2.5 hours?

@EXTomar: Is it? Cool. That movie isn't coming to the UK until February.

I think it was the most recent jar time with Jeff where he mentioned that he thought the era of silent protagonists in games was over. I agree that this is dated trope, but it led me to ponder about the exceptions to this - the games where main protagonist has a personality and expresses thoughts and feelings throughout the game.

I've not finished Far Cry 3 yet, but at the moment there feels like a little bit of dissonance between what I am feeling as the player and what the character is feeling. Jason Brody is constantly moaning about finding his asshole friends and is worried about where they are.. but I am having a fucking awesome time machine gunning sharks. The games that do feature a protagonist with personality seem often to have the protagonist not having a particularly great time (while you the player, presumably, are), like Marcus in Gears of War or even Shephard in Mass Effect.

I'm certainly not saying this is a 'bad' thing, I get that tension and drama are integral parts of a story. But how many games are there where the main protagonist is actively enjoying the thing that you the player are doing? I can only think Duke Nukem 3D, and certain segments of Serious Sam.. I guess Guybrush Threepwood kinda 'enjoys' what he's doing? At least in SOMI, where he's becoming a pirate.

I want to rip the sound effects from some classic Apogee games, like Secret Agent, to use as notification sounds on my phone. How should I go about doing this? Is there any way to record whatever is being sent to the speaker output (rather than putting a microphone up to them and recording the sounds)?

Yeah, I did read about the modded multi-monitor co-op. That is pretty awesome. I would love more games to have multi-monitor support.

Is there likely to be a similar mod for Borderlands 2? How did the mod for the first game work? Can that be implemented easily into Borderlands 2? I'd feel like an absolute sucker if I settled for the 360 version and then this mod comes out for PC a few weeks later..

What is the status of split screen co-op on the PC version? Is it just not supported at all? I've been told elsewhere "oh it'll be modded in". Has that already been done yet? Is that easy? Does it require SLI/crossfire or any other multi-GPU gubbins? I have only one GeForce 560 Ti (and two monitors).

That's pretty much a solid selling point for me, with regards to which version I get.. I have a fairly good gaming PC, and a 360. I'm sure the PC version will look better, but I need split-screen co-op.
