Every single time Will comes on I talk myself into believing he is going to join Giant Bomb. No matter how silly that is, I still talk myself into it. Let a man dream.
I just played through the first one over the last couple days. If you are into tactics games and have 5 dollars to spare, buy the first one. I actually played it on the iPad. Not ideal, but serviceable, with the added bonus of being able to play it while sitting on the throne. Terrific terrific game.
However. Placing Fallout 4 above Witcher is just incorrect. These are both games that are essentially in the same genre. So it's not like saying "Hey I don't like these types of games," which is defensible. The only way Fallout 4 gets above Witcher 3 is because nostalgia for 3 and the fact that it's more fresh in people's minds.
Both games are great. But Witcher 3 outclasses Fallout 4 in every measurable way.
Also, I'm often defending Dan because he's a great guy and a great fit for this site. The site is 100 times better with him as an employee. As a reference point, read this and understand he is easily one of the best writers on staff.
Anyone need to know what Giant Bomb is? Minute 17. Jeff pontificating on the value of a VERY thick book and stating how excited he is to read it. Dan? "ANY MOAR CHEW ITZ?!"
I don't have the same problem with the humming. Mostly because she's never just sitting waiting for me to say go. I have her on a silenced tranq and I fire off the "cover me" the second I arrive at a base. She's always shooting. Never humming.
Quiet + Suppressed tranq = massive game change. Literally changed the way I played every mission. Now I just walk around and mop up the sleeping idiots. Only problem is that sometimes they get shot before I tag them leaving me to use the enemy detection circles or the sonar arm to find them.
