Randomly, a friend asks this of me and I could not rightly think of an answer. The best I could come up with is that yoshi aren't wearing shoes but their feet just look like shoes. And while I'm at it, what is the plural form of yoshi?

For the curious, I was watching the supply numbers for the deal. The PS3 supply at midnight PST was about 260 copies. All of those disappeared in 45 minutes. Then a second batch of games were available at 2:45pm EST (300 PS3 / 200 Xbox360) . The Xbox batch were cleared in less than 10 minutes. The PS3 batch in 15 minutes.

Borderlands is the most immediate cure. Valkyria Chronicles is excellent if you can find it. And if you're feeling adventurous into Tactical RPGs, go for the Disgaea series.

I don't know how much skill and effort you are going to put into BlazBlue. But I would say the learning curve is a little more advanced than Street Fighter 4 but less than Marvel vs Capcom 2. What I found most enjoyable with BlazBlue is learning how to pull off those insane juggles. Beating down your opponent mercilessly is really satisfying. Just think of each game as a parallel universe that all seem similar but slightly different. That helps get over a few plot holes.
