Atreus from God of War for me. Didnt care for him, didnt utilize him in combat. Couldve just had kratos tell him to go hide at every encounter and kept all the story bits.

Best companion is Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite, great character, story, doesn't die in combat and actually helps you. Great fucking game that ages better every year. Cant believe it's almost been 6 years...

Maybe I'll play Destiny now? Crazy turn of events but cant be that surprising really.

GB content hasn't been worth while in 2 to 3 years now and content hasn't been consistently interesting since Vinny left for NY. East will occasionally throw out a feature that interests me and gets me to resub,but that has yet to happen in over a year where the wests content has been bad for 4 years running. At this point in my life I'm obviously not the consumer they are looking to acquire, that's fine, but this place has bummed me for a long time. Dan challenged the west to be creative, which they havent been since he went to NY and I love vinny and the gang but Austin leaving really took a lot of fun and a new dynamic in 2016 that hasn't recovered.

I'm basically a podcast listener only at this point and really only the Beastcast is enjoyable where the bombast can be utterly gruelling to get through more often than not.

@bigboss1911: Want to say this is at least the 3rd sale without them. Idea is people can't check steam every few hours so they missed out on sales. I can see that but it kept me interested in the sale through the two weeks rather than a quick 5 to 10 minute look and saying no to everything like this year. Why I wished they at least changed the sales up every few days or something, idk. They used to do a 24 or 48 hour sale that brought back everything anyways at the very end.

Looks to be an uneventful sale this year. It's cheaper to just keep track of your wishlist and wait for them to drop individually through the year for a cheaper price. I hate how they just do one sale for two weeks with no changes now, the flash sales and daily changes made it fun to check every day, now I look once and shrug.

Gives me an opportunity to hit more backlog games

Anyone not familiar with Dave's work with Vinny or Ryan doesn't know some of the funniest material the site has ever produced.

I didn't discover the site until 2011, but in 2008 I was primed and ready to discover GB. I remember in May/June of '08, I was home sick from my first year of college and just wanted the fuck out. All I did was play video games and chill until the semester would be over. Around that time I first heard of a, I think its called a podcast? Anyways, for whatever dumb reason I only listened to sports podcasts for years until I got sick of those and thought, maybe there might be a podcast about video games, and I like those. And thus in late June of 2011 I searched video games in the itunes podcasts and my life really changed.

I do believe in fate to a degree, and if I found GB before I ever met my wife, I would be a very different person honestly, just so happens that I met my future wife two months before I discovered GB.
