If you think swinging is fun though, smashing things with a hammer on Mars is apparently just that much more fun! Really the only thing that Red Faction does greatly is environmental damage, but other than the monotony of the sub-missions, it really doesn't do anything all that bad. It's definitely a case of the sum being better do to the smaller things.

Forget all the stupid stuff like F.A.G.S and the "Oh look we're cool because we're making drug references!" titles and realize this, Modern Warfare 2 is one hell of a game. The single player simultaneously gave me goose-bumps and an adrenaline ride. Especially running into one specific guy in a prison made me actually stand up and say "WHAT!?" in excitement. Sure the multi-player has glitches and I wish the shotguns were as bad as they were in MW1 and I'm still convinced grenade launchers shouldn't be allowed, but it's fast-paced action is still one of the funnest experiences in games today. Oh and uh, I'm oscar mike.

Speaking of fluid, it turns out that swinging is pretty fun. It's pretty telling how fun the swinging actually was if you think about how many times you'll curse at your TV during the duration of this game, along with the lackluster shooting, straight up bad story, and broken online play. Yeah, swinging was pretty fun.

I'm still butt-hurt about the whole, NFLPA-2K license fiasco but I have to admit, Madden 10 was the best sports game I played this year. The way that everything just felt so fluid and that the framerate was vastly improved upon since last year's game may have made me actually like Madden for the first time since 1999.

The poor man's InFamous? Good enough for the PS3-lacking me! Playing Prototype alongside Red Faction may have hurt it's impact, but the sense of power you got towards the end, alongside the way it actually told its story made this a good, if buggy game.

Play this game alone and you will be bored beyond your mind. Co-op though? This game's pretty good when playing with a friend. I mean, Resident Evil 4 was great, playing with a pal only adds to the fun, even if it isn't a scary franchise anymore.

Yes, the atmosphere, music, and voice acting, alongside everything else is much better than the actual gameplay. The thing is though, the gameplay isn't half-bad, it's just that everything else is so good that it's disappointing the same amount of attention didn't go into the smorgasbord of gameplay elements.

Despite it not being as good as Super Metroid, Shadow Complex was a pretty good 2D game in the vein of Metroid. Considering the lack of that type of game now-a-days, it was a refreshing break from all the FPSs.
