I feel like Dan and Jeff missing the context of early Dragon Ball and the establishment of Goku being a dumb-but-strong-as-hell feral child is leading to their confusion about Goku's idiocy that are sort of a-typical for leading man types.
Come to think of it, americans who grew up with the Ocean and Funimation changes to Goku's personality were probably confused by Kai's more accurate translation as well.
@scojoe66 at one point in my life, I would agree with you, but the music from the original japanese dub is superior, and Goku is goofier which I like. He's too serious in the english dubs.
I can only speak to Mega Man X which I know like the back of my own goddamn hand, but all the audio problems in the SNES Classic have been in place since the original release. Actually all the bugs are. The game even stutters and slows down in the same places as the original.
This game looks so good. I don't have a huge problem with pixel art because it allows smaller devs to make bigger games, but then I see an amazing looking 2d game like Steamworld that has great assets and animation and I wish more devs would take the time to do something like this.
I've never really understood Jeff's disdain for scanline filters. They're not perfect, but they're much better than seeing pixel graphics designed for CRTs all blotchy and without any definition on modern televisions.
