The Hateno Village theme is probably my favourite piece of game music this year. It's just perfect. Just hearing it makes me want to jump back into the game.

I think they made the correct decision with the music in the game.

Oh great. At least one Star Wars movie every year until the end of time...

I hope everyone is excited about the prospect of new Star Wars movie(s) every year for the rest of your life.

Ok are we just gonna keep getting this comment over and over again

The irony here is pretty good.

Really, I would be surprised if they didn't.

Every company has been looking at Overwatch and EA's Ultimate Team modes. Where people buy a full price game and then pour more money into it. And see that those games are incredibly popular. It shows that plenty of people are just fine with having that in their game, provided they like the game.

If you're the person looking at the spreadsheets then this is absolutely something you want to be part of.

'So often' meaning two tweets out of like the last two hundred which were uploaded from a PS4 that had automatically added a store link to the game the image was from?

It's barely a thing dude.

I recently loaded my old save in Skyrim recently for the first time in years and wound up sinking even more time into it. There's still something magical about that world to me.

That said, if you gave it a shot for two weeks at launch then that's probably enough to say it isn't going to be your kind of game. If you do want to try it again, it will be cheaper on the other platforms.

The big thing: You can create manual saves. The checkpoints can seem a bit spread out. If you find yourself in a good situation in the middle of a fight then create a manual save.

I found that it's gotten easier the further into it I am. I'm still dying during fights but far less frequently. I agree that it was frustrating at first. Maybe it's the weapons I have or the upgrades I have gotten, or maybe I'm just better at the game now. It's certainly feels more manageable now.

You will die very quickly if you try to stand out in the open and shoot people one at a time. I've been able to run and gun through plenty of more linear sections but there are points where you do need to take cover. I make use of both. There is normally more than enough health and armour in the larger arenas for you go to keep moving and pick it up during the fight. I actually really like how the health overcharge mechanic works in this game and It's making me far more aggressive than in TNO.

Cramming to keep up with GOTY sounds like a great way to take the fun out of gaming.

...But I'm hoping to play Horizon and Nier before the year is done. Gravity Rush 2 also. I'm not going to play things I have no personal interest in though.

I feel like this game is sacrificing the subtlety and humanity of the last game for whacky grindhouse fun. I dunno, guys. I found the last game's tone very unique, and this seems like its just giving up its identity to be like every other shooter out there in terms of character and story.

I'm about four hours in and the characters are story are definitely not like every other shooter.

I'm really enjoying it so far. Some parts can be a bit frustrating when you die a lot, but it's still great fun. There is one particular new weapon that feels amazing to use.

I'm 100% ready for this. Even if I had a Switch and Mario, I would still be playing this first. I'm very curious about the story and the world building. Combined with whatever insanity goes along with it.

Well I finally finished it. I think this game has my favourite finale of any game I have played recently. Maybe since Metal Gear Rising. I found everything about the last environment to be pretty striking.

Overall I enjoyed it a lot. I think it has some good callbacks to the original game and I was very excited to see one thing mentioned (JOSEPH! ) that I hope is explored in a DLC. I found myself actually being reasonably invested in the story and the universe by the end of this game. I think in the end my game complete time was around 20 hours or so because I did everything and looked everywhere. Yet still found less than half the locker keys!
