Out of morbid curiosity, I got a 17. I'm with the OP - Autism/Asperger's/whateveryouwanttocallit is horseshit. Anyone trying to claim that minor quirks in their personality are signs of a serious mental condition is an idiot.
Get over yourself, people. You are not a unique, delicate butterfly - nor are you Rain Man.
Well said. I see too many people around me now in some sort of arms race to see who has the biggest psycologiacal condition. Most of it is utter crap. Borderline Personality Disorder or Hystrionic Personality Disorder? No, you are just being a dick trying to get attention. Stop being a dick. People shouldn't excuse bad behaviour by some ridiculous claim to a disorder. It cheapens and denigrates people who really have a genuine disorder. Perhaps the rise of the internet and self diagnosis is at the heart of this?
I only think these tests are just a bit of fun to take. I have done some fairly serious tests over my time and yes, I am outside the "norm", but so what? It doesn't make me special or unique, it just makes me - me. Colour me surprised to see this thing get to 13 pages in a day!
I hate that, especially these days, it seemed to have started with people self diagnosing ADD to excuse their own lazyness and nowadays people saying "ocd" whenever they feel they need to have some structure in something.
Unlike you I don't like taking these tests though, they bore me quickly and the questions become very annoying to me sooner rather than later. Mostly because I hold a high value to giving the correct answer while I can justify multiple answers depending on specific context (I've been told I lack emotional context which kinda pissed me off because to me it seems that other people don't consider the other possible contexts and end up not being specific enough).
