I really like the conversational format as it allows for ideas to be explored or challenged in a way that a pre-written review would tend to edit out to be more definitive.
My only concern is that, at over an hour long, its going to take IGN a really long time to rearrange and do voice overs for so much content.
That psi lab really needs to be using every one of its slots all the time to begin with, especially as they have about 50 soldiers that sit around doing nothing. Testing takes 10 days and you need to find one gifted soldier to finish the campaign. If you're spinning the globe with the lab not at full capacity then this series might not conclude this year.
It is really eyeopening just how easy this game is tactically once you learn a basic strategy and the troops perks just make it into a cakewalk. Xcom 2 goes a long way to forcing you to develop a much wider toolset in terms of tactics, but the body count required to learn it would put an end to a campaign after just a few episodes.
