More fuel for the fire: Jason Schreier, a Kotaku writer, has been joining in against Kain by trying to write Forbes off as a "content farm" (hilarious given the site he works for is responsible for such quality content as "check out this youtube video I saw").
@SagaciousJones: Oh boy. Schrier is trying to fan the flames and get himself a higher profile. "The other guy trying to ruin Kains career." Stay classy journalism.
@Petiew: No denying they do a lot of good. But sometimes they don't. Sometimes they just tear into people. And it sucks. People should obviously reprimanded for their mistakes, but not have their livelihood taken away from them.
It sort of sucks that they can do that to anyone who just looks at them the wrong way. (A bit dramatic, I know. Still sort of true.)
@algertman: Wait, really? I mean, the OUYA is an actual physical product. The Penny Arcade kickstarter was just....well, a thing. So they wouldn't have to run ads.
And now I remembered the Ocean Marketing Fiasco. That left a bad taste in my mouth. Guy deserved to get reprimanded, not have his career ruined(admittedly he was a bit of a dick though). Don't think this will end quite the same unless penny arcade runs a comic and an accompanying article shit-talking Kain until he's forced out of his profession. That's a worst case scenario for the guy right there.
Kuchera is a bit of a prick, ain't he? Like his writing, but come on, seriously? Kain owned up to his mistake, which is all most would ask for, and Ben wants to do more damage to his career? What kind of crap is that?
@Brodehouse: Yeah you've got a point. I mean you hear stuff about Epic, and Crytek taking these people and forming new studios for them. It's great, and uplifting. I try to ignore the doom and gloom, but lately that's about all there was. (At the same time, a lot of those THQ studios were saved by other publishers and developers.) So there's some sunshine in all that D&G.
