So, I've been a subscriber to Digg for a number of years (ya, i know, it's outdated). I like the new format they use to send out a daily email about 5 wildly different topics that were popular the day before or they think will be interesting. It's been a really good way to look at random stuff on the web in a quick fashion since i'm a teacher and only have a few minutes to myself throughout the day. anyways, i saw this article and immediately thought of drew and the rest of the flight club. how awesome would this be???? i don't know if they were only allowing journalists to apply or if they were letting ordinary people apply, but it would still be cool to try. anyways, here's the link. check it out if you're curious

so i've been playing it for the last few days and it is surprising relaxing. i've really enjoyed it so far. only problem is that i need to get a wheel to do it properly. also, i feel like i'm getting a lot of speeding fines when i'm not going super fast...o wells, can't complain too much. it's really enjoyable. thanks

so, this is really dumb. i've watched vinny and drew play euro truck simulator a couple of times and it looked pretty good. now, with the steam sale, it's only $6.50. should i do this?

@donmfjohnson: I'm not dead set on AMD but I'm not sure that I want to try overclocking on my first build which is what i've heard intel is better for. also, i've been looking at reviews, anandtech and tom's hardware to get some advice and haven't really seen anything that pushes me toward intel.

Hey bombers-

So i posted a few weeks ago about building a budget pc. Afterwards, I was talking to my significant other and was able to convince her to let me spend a little bit more for a better pc. So, here is what i'm thinking and i would love to get your opinions on it.

GPU: EVGA GTX 770 2GB DDR5 SLI (already purchased :)

Mobo: Gigabyte 990FXA AM3+

HDD: Western Digital Black 1tb 7200 rpm

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X series 8gb

PSU: Rosewill Capstone 650W

Case: i'm debating between NZXT Source 210 or CM Storm Enforcer any ideas?

any thoughts?

Since we're not going with an SSD as your boot drive, I'd probably swap out the WD Blue for a WD Black 1tb.

Can you not reuse your old case? That'll lop $70 off the price.

don't think so. it's an old hp case that looks like garbage.

hey all-

so my pc just died. it was five years old and just waiting to kick the bucket. i've been wanting to build my own pc for a while now but haven't had the money or reason to do so. now, with the old one dead and a surprising windfall, i have my chance. i do have one problem: budget. i know i just had a windfall, but my wife and i are expecting our first child soon, so i don't want to blow the whole check on a gaming rig. i'm looking to spend between $500-600 for a decent rig i can upgrade over the next few years. here is what i'm thinking so far:

GPU: Asus GTX 650 Ti 1GB: $139.99

Motherboard: MSI z77MA-G45: $94.99

CPU: i5-3350P Ivy bridge 3.1 GHz: $179.99

PSU: Corsair CX600 600watt: $59.99

HDD: WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM SATA: $69.99

Case: Antec 300 Illusion ATX mid Tower = $69.99

Total: $614.94

I know this doesn't have an OS yet, but is there any way i could do better? or anything i could do cheaper? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

So, here is a thought. I know that with the loss of Ryan things have changed quite a bit around here. My question is no that September is here and almost gone, will we see a new Big Live Live Show Live this year? If not, what happens to my subscription? I know that I paid for a year during last year's show and will no doubt do so again. But when do I do this?
