I thought he usually did these streams for the Elder Scrolls games, but YEAH, I'd like to see a 12hr Fallout 4 stream from him. It was fantastic when GB asked him to do the Skyrim stream.
@jeff: Now I feel bad for asking Rorie to keep it pinned. Didn't really consider his friends and family's wishes at the time, which was not really cool. Of course it's not an easy decision, but it's one I (and I imagine a lot of us) will support. Ryan will never be forgotten and this thread doesn't do 1% of justice to show how amazing he was to all of us and to his friends and family. Keep being awesome Jeff. You're doing an amazing job hosting the site! I'd imagine Ryan would be incredibly proud.
@bleedingstarx: Like @mb has said, I'd stick to just replacing the hard drive after backing up any important files first. That's a good place to start, and will likely solve your issue. Make sure the new hard drive is seated firmly into the slot it goes into. Reinstall Windows 7 on the new hard drive, using your license key on the laptop, and then let us know if the problem persists. You will also likely have to install drivers for your Ethernet and WiFi adapters if they don't come through with the Windows 7 install. Just go to the Toshiba site and enter in the service tag for your laptop to get those drivers.
Here's a guide showing how to get to the hard drive in your laptop (just follow up to step 4 and don't worry about taking off the RAM cover). It's real easy.
This blue screen could be caused by many things. You may have a loose connection between your SATA or mSATA hard drive and the motherboard. I've seen this happen on many laptops I've services over the years. Usually reseating the hard drive fixes the issue. Sometimes the motherboard is the issue and has to be replaced. You also may have bad sectors on your hard drive.
I would first back up anything important on your hard drive. Then try reseating it to the motherboard (just take the hard drive out and then place it back in firmly). Run a hard drive diagnostics check after that. If it comes up with errors, then you will likely have to replace the hard drive.
Those screenshots looks really good. Wish you didn't have to open them in a new tab on Giant Bomb to see them in full resolution though. That terrain looks really detailed and feels like the Star Wars universe.
I'm really excited to play this on PC. I don't pre-order games anymore, so I'll be picking it up at or after launch if folks say it runs good.
Well it looks like I am doomed. What's this Triple Triad shit? I've heard of Gwent. Is it some Final Fantasy sub-game? Forgive me zombiepie for my ignorance, I have not gone down that deep, dark rabbit hole yet.
Man, I wish I wasn't broke as hell this week so I could donate to Anna's trip. It's going to be the first thing my next pay check contributes to.
Toe Jam and Earl is probably the oldest game I most actively play. I want to say Pong or Super Mario Bros 3 too, but those don't get played nearly as much annually as Toe Jam and Earl.
