Look, I'm starting to get real tired with this whole trend here. Let's look at a few of the games that have sparked the most outcry from GB users lately. Demon's Souls, FFXIII, Monster Hunter Tri, Nier, Lost Planet 2. What do all these games have in common? They are all made by Japanese development teams. I know I'm generalizing here, but it seems like fans of Japanese games flip the fuck out when someone does not give them the glowing masturbatory review they expected out of their flawless Holy Grail. I don't like that people say "they just don't understand this game, that's why they can't see how great it is". Oh I think Brad and a lot of other people understand plenty, they understand that they don't want to spend 10 hours getting to the meat of a game, they understand that counter intuitive systems and awkward controls are bad. You know how snobbish you sound when you act like you're on a higher plane than all other gamers on the planet? I wouldn't mind so much if you simply disagreed, but you don't have to be an elitist prick about it.

I think the major reason why there are so many trailers and gameplay videos is that there really aren't a whole lot of big games coming out. Red Dead Redemption and Blur are probably the only big ones this month.

Politics on the internet never works out well. But I am all for the Amish branch of Whiskey Media, but the wiki would have to be etched in stone somewhere because of the evils of teh interwebz.

The Western genre is a field ripe for games that really hasn't been taken advantage of. I'm hoping that RDR can bring a level of immersion that no Wild West game has yet accomplished.

The 10 point scale is kinda pointless because anything 6 and below really isn't worth your time in most cases. The 5 point scale keeps it simple: god awful (1), bad (2), average (3), good (4), and excellent (5). Simpler is better.

I really like Mean Girls and Miss Congeniality. I don't see anything wrong with that.

The endurance run is more than enough for me, I get to experience the game's weirdness without having to fight the awful controls and tedious gameplay.
