gladius - lightning spica defenders or deneb duellers - sazh power circle - snow hawkeye - hope belladonna wand - vanille dragoon lance - fang
Obviously it's up to you, some of those weapons give massive boosts to one stat, but not much to the other, so for example if you want lightning to be strong on attack and magic, then gladius might not be the best choice, but for pure attack stats it's the best weapon for her if you use her as a com all the time like I do.
For sazh, the deneb duellers give a bigger magic boost, but the spica defenders have the augment maintenance, which is useful if sazh is your synergist, so that's a judgment call.
weapons with stagger lock are stupid, as is the one with leadenstrike/ironstrike, there's no point using them, because the damage boost you get from the extra stats is much less than the damage you do if you stagger an enemy, and some enemies need to be staggered to kill them. Same goes for the weapons with paper/silk trigger, they cut your hp by so much that the extra stats aren't worth it.
Some guy did the math in his gameFAQs FAQ, and apprently, 60% of the time you will get him with death if you do it right, the other 40% of the time you'll get stomped and have to retry, however even with a 60% success rate, the gil per hour you get from the drops (assuming you have the catalogues) is insane, you'll start off getting about 200K per hour, but once your party are strong enough, if you can kill them fast enough you can make 700K+ per hour.
the reason I list two for fang is because I don't think you can get her best weapon until after you finish the game, which seems a bit useless imo. Nevertheless, dragoon lance has the best stats of all her weapons. Sell any weapons that aren't the one's I've listed, and focus on upgrading equipment (the ones that raise magic and strength are most useful up to chapter 11) Once you get to chapter 11 you can start collecting items and cp and start doing some proper farming.
It's a console game, anyone deluding themselves into thinking the graphics are that important does't understand the way graphics technology moves.
There were better looking games on PC 5 years ago than the best looking PS3/360 games, and at about 4 times the resolution. Playing console games for the graphics is like drinking paint for the flavour.
About half way through the game, you get the option to learn a weapon skill you don't already have. I was an infiltrator and I chose assault rifle.
I can't remember which mission it was, but once FAQs come out, you'll be able to look it up, and if you do that mission as soon as possible, you'll be able to get ARs pretty early.
Also, ARs were not that great imo. You get hardly any ammo, and SMGs are just as useful but have more ammo. At long range, you're better off using a sniper or biotics, because you'll just waste all your AR ammo.
