Hadn't seen anything like this yet on the Reach forum, hopefully it's not redudant(I did look). Anyway the video is excellent quality and really does give a pretty clear idea of the changes to gameplay in Reach. I really look forward to playing a lot w/the jetpaks....and so will everyone else I bet. Looks fun, and I will give it an extended run Monday night. Check it out: http://www.gamespot.com/shows/now-playing/?event=now_playing_halo_reach20100430#toggle_video
EDIT: Maybe a mod can place this in the Reach forum...thought I had already...still glitched I guess.
The new arcades have the smaller Jasper chipset, and improved sink and pipe. They have been tested to run much cooler. They will be much less susceptible to the overheating issue. Newer elite versions probably have the new chipset also. Maintain a well ventilated area, load games to the HDD as much as possible, and reliability goes up even further. RROD still happen but the failure rate has improved and will continue to go down.
Yeah the music in all the Halo games is stellar. O'Donnell is amazing at what he does for sure. I really liked the changes and mood setting of the scores in ODST also.
Graphics didn't improve between beta and final game for Halo 3 so I don't see why they would for Reach. And graphics absolutely do matter. They are a key part of immersion, atmosphere, and the vibe that's associated w/the game's setting and story.
"Pretty dismayed to see how few "spots" there are relative to resupplies/revives/repairs. Still boggles my mind to end up on a time where the only orange I ever see is the orange I throw down."
Related to how many play w/scopes vs. without? Lots of runners w/iron I see that are all about rushing objectives. They're essential for sure, but spots are invaluable agreed...a big key to wins/team situational awareness imo, and points for us that do it; recon or no.
Peer v peer is the culprit here. The only solution, or at least the best, is playing a game w/ded servers. Not the end all for sure but levels the field for the most part. I have a fast connection, but in BBC2 for instance, lag is still a part of many matches, especially for players across coasts(US)like I play w/most every night. Connection speed is always a factor though imo, especially if yur playing across regions.
