Horizon, Deathloop, and Ghostwire: Tokyo are the ones I'm most interested in. Some others look really promising, like Athia and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, but I don't feel like enough has been shown of those yet to say.

Man, a lot of super jaded-sounding folks in this thread.

I thought this event was honestly one of the best I've seen in years. Very games-focused, with a wide variety of games that look like they have a ton of potential. Tons of new IP as well. I like the look of the console, too. I know that's a hugely subjective thing, but I'm glad they went for a bold, different design at least.

Nah, in my experience it's been very stable. Can't recall it ever crashing.

I don't know what your setup is like, but you're crashing once or twice a week? Sounds like Windows might not be your problem.

This is not only a terrible take, but a seemingly complete misunderstanding of what professional criticism is intended to accomplish.

Jeff (and Brad, Ben, etc.) is a professional video game critic. It is his job to inform people about games, performance included. It isn't his job to tell you whether or not certain things about a game should matter to you personally; all he can do is tell you whether those things matter to him.

You, as the consumer, are responsible for deciding whether or not the information presented is relevant to you. An iffy frame rate doesn't bother you? Great. It might bother other people, though; do they not deserve to get that information so as to make their own informed decision?

I've never found them distracting, but then again, I'm the sort of person who never watches anything fullscreen either, so I'm used to seeing a bunch of crap around whatever I'm watching. I don't really understand how some people could dislike them to the point of avoiding Jeff's content (I've seen a couple of comments to that effect).

Anyway, I like Jeff's overlays, and I hope he keeps doing things the way he wants to.

Minecraft, hands down. It's not only the best Lockdown content, it's some of the best content GB has produced in a long time. Feels a bit silly to say, because they're just playing Minecraft, but it's so great seeing almost the entire gang playing together, and they're all having fun in their own ways. It's just fantastic.

I would troll you for missing Dan's departure, but hey, life happens. I dipped out of following GB completely for over a year at one point, so I get it.

As for Dan leaving, I do miss his enthusiastic energy, but I feel like the Beast crew is still rock-solid without him. And I say that as someone who's followed Dan's work since the Game Informer days.

I'm a huge sucker for house/base-building mechanics in RPGs. Basically anything that lets you build up and customize your own little sanctuary. Huge plus if there's also quests and/or other activities to do there. Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC springs immediately to mind, as well as Witcher 3's Blood and Wine. Even Red Dead 2's camps, though the customization options were limited. Rebuilding Colony 6 in Xenoblade Chronicles was great, too.
