So what's going on now? We've choosen Fattony12000's story and now what? What should I be doing?
Build on it, I imagine. I'm kind of lost, myself.
Sorry, we're still trying to figure this out. Communication and keeping everyone in the loop (organization) is going to be tricky. Luckily we started using Basecamp which should help. I will fill you in on what each team is doing to the best of my knowledge (take it with a grain of salt), but in the future (hopefully soon) each lead will post updates to what is happening with each team and what things each team member can work on the corresponding teams project on Basecamp.
Story and Concept team-@Fattony12000 is continuing to work on the story and he is open to any ideas anyone has. He'll have to update you guys on what you can start on, but characters and locations can be fleshed out for sure.
Music and Sound Effects team- I haven't heard from @mscupcakes in awhile, but if you're bored you can do test sound effects or we do know a little about the setting "future cyber tokyo, the moon" so you can try to work on music that fits into those areas.
Code team-@Chaser324 is busy with life stuff right now and @Bio2hazard is playing Xcom, haha. There's not much for you guys to do right now as we are thinking of mechanics, but within the next week we will have developments in that area!
Game Design team- talk with @tariqari, he's working on some mechanics stuff and if you have ideas you'd like to implement be sure to start a discussion on our alt forums.
Graphics and Art team- If you have questions you can message me. There's a discussion on art/animation style in our alt forums as well as a place to post your work so we can see your area of expertise. Right now we're brainstorming ideas for a visual style and all are welcome to comment. Edit: Also as @Damodar stated below, you can start concepting ideas for locations or characters- whatever inspires you from the story provided so far.
Level Design, The Canadian Lawyer, Marketing and PR, and Business Team- Uh.... Keep doing what you're doing!
Hopefully we'll update the original post to be more organized and point you in the right direction if you don't know where to go. Very soon Basecamp and our alt forums should be the hubs of all knowledge. If you have any questions and those other slackers are too busy, shoot me a pm.
Thanks for the updates. I have never been involved in a community project before so i'm having a little trouble getting up to speed on everything. May I suggest that the team leads do a progress summery for their respective departments (weekly?) which we can post in it's own thread? (excuse me if this exists already)
