I agree, Streets of Rage 2 is the best! I think the main thing that puts me off 3 is the music, the music in Streets of Rage 3 is terrible! The music in Streets of Rages 1 & 2 is some of the best videogame music ever, so it's a shame the music in 3 is so bad. Only the music in the dance club is any good, but the game feels different as well. Can't explain it, but it adds things I wanted added - like running and being able to use special moves all the time and more of a story, but for some reason, I still prefer Streets of Rage 2!

Can someone help me. I've beaten Brayko, and I let him live but when I go to my safehouse all that is there is Braykos Knife, and I cannot find the stereo anywhere?

I actually killed him the first time, but then went on youtube to listen to the song that was playing, and found out if you let him live you got his stereo so I reloaded an older safe and redid the mission to let him live, just for the stereo! Whereabouts is the stereo located and does it only unlock later on?

Hope someone can help me, I really want that stereo!

I love it! When I first started playing it I had the biggest smile on my face at all the 8-bit music and visuals, I just fell in love with it, and the gameplay is solid enough. Love all the collecting of coins and buying items to improve ya stats etc, really wish it had online co-op, as I think this would be so much fun, but hopefully they can patch it in. I really am enjoying this game a lot in single player tho :)

At the end of Stage 2 (spoiler) I got a Skateboard, but how do I equip/use this? I can't find it anywhere!

Also, If I go into a shop and buy some fries or something, it will pop up on my status screen but how do I actually use these items in game?

Just finished it, it was pretty decent...some parts were really good, but I think there was just too many enemies on the screen most of the time. There was one bit where you ended up on your own, near the start, and for about 3mins it almost went a bit stealthy, but then soon the waves of enemies came back!

Still a good game tho, went online and kept getting team killed for not joining a squad or something, so I joined a squad and still kept getting team killed so I turned it off. Dunno what that was all about...

LOL handlas, yeah, I played this demo last night as well...it's so funny playing that Ping Pong game, didn't have a clue what was going on but I managed to go to the hostess bar and dress her up and do all the things I wanted to do. The visuals looked really nice, the water on the pavement was really good, but that ping pong game was so funny! I hope we get Yakuza 4 over here in English one day, if not I'd probably import it and just enjoy whatever I could.

I thought it was really really awesome, but nothing will ever be as good as the moment in the first game in the desert! That whole section, especially the way it starts, is one of the best locations in a game ever!

lol, guess so, oh well, was good while it lasted! This system could still be done, imagine playing games with user created subtitles then where the person who wrote it changes all the words to funny stuff! Be like them Hitler videos where he has red ring of death/ ps3 died etc This could be comedy gold in games! :)

I have an idea for Japanese only games and games that get released in Japan and then take ages to come out over here, it's a user created Subtitle system. This would mean that companies such as SEGA wouldn't have to translate anything, just stick a  screen at the start of the game saying "SEGA is not responsible for the translation process of this game, some of the translation may be incorrect."

So, the idea is this, a system where the game lets you select a user created subtitled game, so if someone spoke both English and Japanese they could go through the game translating the text. This may sound bonkers, but I honestly think if done right it would work… for instance, each line of texts needs to be translated but someone doesn’t have to sit down and do it all at once.   It would be like Noby Noby Boy, in that game everyone is working together to reach new planets , only here, the overall goal would be working together to get the game translated .

So the first gamer does line 1, then, when gamer 2 goes to do it the game would say that line 1 has already been translated and the next line to be done is line 2 etc etc this would go on until the final line was translated, at which point someone who only speaks English could start the game with a completely translated Yakuza game!

I think this would be possible, I guess a problem may be verification but you could add in a system where other users can read through translated lines and flag them as incorrect, if a line got flagged enough it would have to be resubmitted. You may think this is mad and wouldn’t get used, but there are people on Youtube right now who are translating all the cut scenes from the Yakuza and Kenzan games with English Subtitles, so people would do it I know it.

This would be like a universal system once created, so for instance, SEGA would make the system and then just stick it into Yakuza 5, Kenzan etc etc and all they  would have to do is have an option in the main menu for user created Subtitles.
