Between this and Evolve, there needs to be a PAX Memorial Flew-To-Close-To-The-Sun award for games that had a massive presence at PAX and then came out with all the energy of a wet fart.
Normally I typically side with the developer in situations like this, but considering how wild and awesome the modding scene is and how much money GTAV has raked in the last few years, fuck 'em. GTA Online is the least interesting part of that game for me, and kneecapping the rest of their game to accommodate for it is super lame.
I always liked the idea of how in games like Final Fantasy 12 or Dragon Age Origins you could tinker with your party members' AI to set up complex routines for battle. For example: if above 75% stamina use knockdown attack, or if below 25% health drink potion.
Have any other games (besides the following DA games) tried a system like this?
I've backed this Raspberry Pi frontend called Ignition. It's supposed to make your ROM collection easy to play and manage, added achievements to all the retro games and even supported friends lists and netplay. The community around it got impatient because the developer was very uncommunicative and that made him look slow. Now it seems he just bolted. I only backed 5 bucks but it was also my first (and so far only) Kickstarter I backed.
It's a real bummer, I was looking forward to it, even bought a Pi specifically for it.
Maybe Nintendo killed him
