@sgtexo: yeah hunger seems more realistic than other games that have hunger meters. If you eat a big meal you'll be fine for most of the day.

In other games I hate it because it seems like you're just constantly hungry, but it's not like that in this game.

@picky_bugger: yeah, I tend to agree with this. The game takes place in a small area of Bohemia which is largely countryside, which makes it even less likely there would be that many non white people.

You can't own game design. Anybody is free to make clones of anything if they aren't directly stealing assets or code.

@nickhead: yeah I slept in it twice and saw nothing indicating it saved. So I just decided to sleep in the other one and it popped up a black screen that said "game saved" when I woke up.

@nickhead: are you sleeping in the right bed? For some reason if I sleep in the one I woke up in it doesn't save. But if I sleep in the one next to it, the game saves

Dude about the racist part "there no black people in this game BS". I think the dev. is totally right there where none black peeps in Bohemia in the middle ages it totally makes sense ( this game deals in racism although it's Germans against Czechs, with Germany trying to force the Czechs to learn German). putting them in a historical game makes no sense to be honest just like a Black German WWII soldiers in the new COD. And the first time people in Europe saw black people on mass was when the US freed Europe from the Nazi terror. To be honest i am not a fan of pushing people to add a color of human in a videogame or movie just because it's "PC" It should reflect set society. Not some warped up version of a political stand point. I also wanna ad that the Czech Republic is a very white country compared to other European countries, like Belgium for example witch is way more Diverse then the Czech Republic.

I haven't followed this situation much, but the dev and everyone else thinking there were no black people in Europe during that time comes across ignorant to me, not racist. It's somewhat understandable not to know that, since it's not some big obvious fact, but the dev is wrong. The link below shows black people in Bohemian art. It's a link someone else used on a thread here and I found it interesting. As far as your WWII example, I think this is more like most people assuming all the American WWII soldiers were white men, when there were black ones too. Black people (Moors) invaded and occupied large parts of Europe, so WWII definitely wasn't the first time Europeans saw black people and slaves went to Europe during the slave trade, not just North & South America.

I'm not taking a position on this one way or the other, but the examples provided here aren't a very strong argument for the presence of African-descended people in Bohemia in the middle ages. The people being depicted are either historical figures who didn't live in Europe, or a painting of a person (Saint Jerome) who doesn't actually look very African and isn't depicted as black in other art. The blogger in this case seems to be constructing an argument to support his conclusion rather than presenting a conclusion based on good evidence.

Also a large portion of the the small amount of people of colour that would be in Bohemia at the time would probably be in the major areas, and the entire game takes place in the country-side.

I wasn't saying there were a bunch of black people there and they were a huge part of the population, but there were black people in the area and the idea that most Europeans didn't know they existed or hadn't seen a black person until WWII is pretty silly. I don't find this game racist though (as a black person myself) and I'd still play this game if I were interested. No people of color in LOTR did always seem weird to me and Game of Thrones could be better at diversity too. Someone could say they're both based on Europe and that's mostly or all white depending on the time, but if you can have magic, dragons, etc you can have a world with diverse human population too. I give this a little more slack than something Witcher since that's fantasy; this is trying to be historical while fantasy games/movies created their own world.

In the case of fantasy things, I would argue that the culture that fantasy setting is based on should still matter. Like Witcher 3 is heavily based in polish folklore and culture with fantasy elements added. Like, if there was a world created that had mythical creatures and magic, but the setting was clearly calling heavily from African culture it would still be weird to me if all of the characters were Japanese or something instead of black, or a clearly Asian culture inspired fantasy setting but the characters are not Asian. Even with the fantasy setting it would still be somewhat off to me. In like high fantasy where everything is made up and it's hard to pinpoint the exact culture it comes from it's less important I think.
