So, based on the conversations on this week's Bombast and based on the free month being offered at Crunchyroll I decided to sign up for the trial membership. Can you guys recommend some shows for me to check out?
@solh0und: Seeing all the reports from players on AC: Unity has finally convinced me of Jeff's position on never placing preorders before you can read criticism of the game.
@milkman: They didn't "try to pull it off" - they did. And from what we're seeing based on the reports of players who have it: for good reason, too. I agree it's really rotten and underhanded. I saw Ubisoft's life Twitch/Amazon thing over the weekend and the game looked great. If it turns out to be as bad as people are saying there must be some weird tricks going on. Coupled with the fact that they aren't sending out review copies of AC: Rogue at all, I think Ubisoft deserves a real black mark for all of this.
Well, that's disappointing. I will wait until Noon to see the official reviews but a lot of what I've read has made this game sound like it's garbage on a lot of levels. I was a long time AC fan up until 3 and was very lukewarm on Black Flag, but I was very excited about this release. I was half tempted, given all the shit Ubisoft has been touting to the press, to simply drive down to the store and pick it up this morning. I'm glad I didn't reading all of these reactions.
@civid I've found that to be the case with most of the Wii U games. I usually keep the actually controller on the charger cradle away from the living where I play my games because I find the double display so distracting. But, yes, the pro controller works just fine and is probably the best way to experience the game.
