@GIVEMEREPLAY: My best friend is a lawyer at a top 5 national firm and fucking hates it. Instead, do something productive and rewarding with that degree. Don't defend corporations just to make a few bucks. You WILL get shit on, work long hours, lose your heart and hate your life. Congrats though and best of luck!
PS...my sister is a 1st year at Columbia law. She doesn't regret it, but says she doesn't have a ton of free time and the reading is non-stop.
Edit: Also, she took a couple years off and did Teach for America. Totally take a break from school. She seems to think all the students that didn't are a bit immature, stress out easily and aren't nearly as well rounded individuals. You won't regret taking a year or two to do something productive and fun. There is no turning back once you start :)
Just bought a couple boxes of baseball cards for the first time in about a decade. Now I have some from my dad's childhood, my childhood and my early adulthood. Sweet.
