My file is at 12mb. Serious frame rate issues in whiterun and solitude, and only anywhere else after about 2 hours of playing. Hope this will help.

I've played 25 hours and have only had frame rate issues when a lot of stuff is happening. Doesn't make it unplayable though because it doesn't last too long.

So it sounds like the issues only come after a few hours of playing. They made the game so good that you need to play it for hours and hours at a time? I don't think there is much to complain about just because everything else about the game is so so worth playing.

EDIT: Oh and its never locked up on me.

@AlisterCat: Good point, but do you know if it will have any effect of the specific skill you are upgrading?

Ok thanks. I'm glad that that happens. Otherwise it would be pointless improving stuff that you don't put most of your perk points into.

I've played about 12 hours of Skyrim and am still unsure how the whole skill levelling system works. Does levelling up a skill actually improve that skill, or does it just allow you to unlock perks for that skill?

e.g. is level 50 in archery exactly the same as a level 70 if there are no perks in that tree?

Dead Space 2 was an awesome game. Sucks it came out way too long ago to even be considered in 2011 really
