The game is all worth $60.  With a single player campaign, robust character creation, kart creation, track creation....not to mention 4 player split screen and online multiplayer...why is this not worth more?  Hell, Mario Kart is $50 and it's only 5% of what this game offer and people love that game (for whatever reason).

I thought the game wasn't going to be more than $30...I saw it at a store, and it said $60 and I thought Sony must be batshit insane.
 
LBP is worth $60, but I can't see myself forking over that much for a racing game that doesn't rhyme with Man Furoism Jive.

Modnation looks really good. I'll probably pick it up later when the price drops though.

So far, so good.  The load times are the really only drawback that  I can see occurring with this game.  They have already said a patch is on the way to fix the problems.  If you like Kart racers and you want one that isn't for babies...pick this up.
