Recently built a new pc and been playing the 15 level trial of SWTOR and getting a feel for things. I like the story but ...yeah it's an MMO. Anyway I decided to forego trying to pick a class based on any PvP nonsense and blah blah and I just want to play a class with the most evil story. Backstabing, being a traitor, genocide, murder, lying and being generally unpleasant. Which class will give me that? I usually don't play an evil character in games but I want to break my evil cherry. Also able to solo pretty well would be helpful too as I don't want to group too much. Thanks duders.

Is it worth dropping $400 on a GPU? I'm basically settled on the components but GPU is kind of killing me. Do I just spend a lot now and not have to worry about upgrading for a while or go for like the mid 150 ones or perhaps the "sweet spot" of those 250ish ones I dunno. GPU deciding sucks.

Probably not the right place to post this and don't mean to create "another" annoying thread about pc builds. Been really tempted lately to just ditch my PS360 and switch to PC gaming. Haven't had a decent PC or really played any games on one in a loong time and miss it. Definitely a lot of stuff I want to check out, especially SWTOR for some reason. Been messing around on neogaf looking at the PC build forum and I concocted this build but could use an opinion. Basically I don't want to go ballsout but I want to put some money into it somewhat "future proof" it and not worry about upgrading for a while. I don't necessarily need to play everything at the ultra max whatever settings either. I'll be using a monitor/tv that can go up to 1080p that is 22 inches I believe. Don't need to play at ridiculous resolutions though. My amazon cart looks as such right now: Case: HAF 912 $59.99 Mobo: Biostar TZ77B $90 CPU: i5 3570k $214.99 GPU: evga Geforce GTX670 FTW $399.99 Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8gb $44.99 PSU: Corsair 650watt $76.89 HD: Western Digital Caviar Black 7200rpm $86.77 (already own a Windows 7 disc so don't need that) Total is $973.21 Not too sure about the mobo though, just feel like I don't need anything ridiculous in the $100+ range as I'm just going to be using this for gaming/general pcing etc unless that one sucks I dunno. Any help would be appreciated. Was tempted to just get maybe an HD6870 for the value but I figure later on I would have to upgrade that so maybe just spend the money now on the GTX670.

EverQuest. The idea of being in an RPG world that was populated by a whole bunch of other human beings (online that is) was the most incredible thing for me back then. Nearly failed out of a bunch of classes in my sophomore year of high school too because of it. That was a gaming experience I will never have again. Soul sucking but goddamn was it magical.

Can you play Baldurs Gate 2 if you've never played any of those D and D Infinity Engine games? Watching the Baldurs Gate 2 Random PC Game video and also thinking about the enhanced edition being released this summer of BG1 I've really wanted to pull the trigger on one of these games. But I want a game with a good story too not just combat. From what Dave described in the video it seems like BG2 is the way to go with those games. Is that a correction option. Mind you once again I'm a total noob to those types of games.

Not to go too off topic with this thread as you guys have sufficiently answered things for me but ...So I've played about an hour of Arcanum, deciding on a adumb half-ogre melee build. Enjoying it so far but I've been looting everything I can and now my inventory is full. So uhh what should I bother keeping and not? I have lots of metal scraps and herbs and stuff. Is that even necessary for me to keep or what? HALP!

I know that feel. Sometimes having less options is better. I will probably just get rid of my PS3 and keep the 360 around (and I'm a former PlayStation fanboy) just so I have a more limited amount of games to be playing. Bought a bunch of shit on the PS3 too. Vanquish, Shadows of the Damned, RE5 Gold Edition, some light gun shooters, bunch of other stuff and instead I'm sitting around playing old school FMV adventure games I got from GOG instead...

Arcanum it is. Going to slowly nudge my feet into old school waters and see how I handle things. Used to enjoy the shit out of JRPGS but that ship has failed for me.

Also, anyone know anything about Gorky 17. Looks really neat but apparently user reviews say it's really challenging :s

Temple of Elemental Evil, if you're up for glitchy insanity.

I've been eyeing it. Also been looking at Arcanum as I recall some of the people from Fallout were behind that but not sure how that game is. I'm probably going to hold off on Baldurs Gate and just wait for the iPad version this summer as that will give me an excuse to finally buy an iPad too.
