So I'll be taking a two week trip over seas on a couple months and I'm hoping to bring some JRPGs and stuff along with me on my DS. I'm also bringing my iPhone but I wont have an internet connection on the plane or a reliable one in the new country. My question is what do you guys do when trying to load a text walkthrough or guide on your phones for cases like these? My current thought it to try and download a PDF version of the official guide or download any sort of guide-like material and convert it to a PDF. I have a PDF reader on my phone so I could just load it up when I get stuck and flip through the pages as I progress. Anyone have any thoughts or insight?
@seanbooker: Don't buy ace attorney for iOS. It is terrible. At least wait for Ace Attorney HD which is a HD version of all 3 games. Hopefully the framerate will be fixed.
Any decent visual novel games to be found on iOS? Seems like a platform that would work really well for this genre. I have both an iPhone and iPad so it doesn't matter what the game works for.
@seanbooker: How to start highly depends on what you're trying to do. Post your WIP or samples and I'll critique where I can. I'm no expert but as @CptBedlam mentioned, I have done a few things pixel arty before =)
I haven't done anything yet, really just looking for some tips when I attempt to start.
I want to try doing some pixel art myself (like 8-bit/16-graphic stuff) and was wondering if anyone had any tips and tricks on how to do it? Whether that be the use of specific programs or just certain things you do when designing. One specific question I have is how to actually start? I was thinking of taking a photo of something and then just uping the contrast a ton to break the image down more. Thoughts?
