People can complain about F2P all they want. Fuck that.

First-person mech sim with joystick support, exclusive to PC with persistent territory control and plenty of tactical gameplay. Take my money now.

Wow this forum needs more lovin'.

I'm curious about Sword of the Stars II. I rarely get to play many 4X games and this one looks good.

If anyone wants a good 4X MMO, then check out Shores of Hazeron.

I love bots too just for dickin around the maps, but the best alternative is just find a low populated server. I hope they bring back private servers and bots in a future update, but i think the days of bots are over

I would love this idea if the game allowed you to learn and use more powerful weapons and spells that you wouldn't normally obtain in "Normal Mode" as a reward and incentive to endure the grind-ish nature of survival gameplay. Things like levitation (albeit a little more nerfed than Morrowind's crazy spells) that you gain at higher levels would make enduring the tough parts feel so rewarding.

Great article Patrick.

It boggles my mind why people get so uptight about reviews. In a perfect world, people would be proud of their choices and not turn to the media for positive affirmations. Yeah reviews help people decide whether to make a purchase or not, but splitting hairs over what should and shouldn't be critiqued is fallacious. It's up to the reviewer to find what is good and bad about a game, but at the same time not impose a good/bad dichotomy on the reader.
