I realise that f**ktards online and trolling have existed since the internet began, but it still saddens me that 2 people think it's funny to make accounts like that, and that at least 2 or 3 other people thought it was okay to play with them, including Fiesty Fairy who if she had any decency would have found someone else to play with.

More of a maturity issue then a problem with Xbox Live. File a complaint through the built in system and they'll be forced to change it... problem solved.
@C0V3RT: It's the problem with the internet as a whole, unless you do something seriously bad nobody is accountable for their actions. People worry about governments taking away our online freedom, censorship, all kinds of nonsense, but the sooner they start making the people who spoil it for the others accountable the better in my book.
What's the problem? Some people having 'humorous' GTs that are in poor taste?
As for 'finding better people to play with' you don't always chose who you play with - and I don't know about you but I'm not gonna quit out a game cause someone has a stupid or possibly 'offensive' GT.

This. You'd be surprised how well it works. "
I was playing once with a guy, and his name was something like I_HATE_N****S, I added him as a friend and filed complaint to see what happened, He changed it to something equally racist, so I filed complaint, again he appeared with another racist name. This happened 4 or 5 times total over the course of a week or two. So yes it works. Except these guys keep going till the account gets removed and then go back to playing on the account that's 5yrs old with thousands of G's.

Then someone else will report him and when he inevitably is forced to change it again. I think it's commendable that you're bothered by it, but it's not exactly your place to police Xbox Live nor is something that should prevent you from enjoying your time on live. The system in place works, just let it run it's course. :)
At first I just looked at the picture, and it looked like you were trying to say that Modern Warfare 2 was the problem with Xbox Live. Everyone is playing that game!
" It's a lot like Family Guy: Idiots think it's funny because it's mildly offensive. "
Are you making fun of Family Guy? You sir have no sense of humor if you think that. "
I do have a sense of humour, I'm just not an idiot as well. I was flicking through the channels the other night and I caught a Family Guy cut away gag:
The maturity level of users on Xbox Live varies from game to game. If you're playing Modern Warfare 2 then you should expect to hear whiny twelve year olds complaining how they lagged etc. as well as being prepared for gamertags like the ones mentioned. Just use the complaint system that Microsoft has in place, it's forced me to change my Bio once, so it does work.
@HandsomeDead: Only an idiot would assume that was the entire joke. Family Guy may be bad, but it is not that bad. It's like saying "I was flicking through the channels and saw Kramer hold up a golf ball. Was that supposed to be funny?"

The key difference being that Seinfeld usually spent entire episodes setting up one epic joke. Family Guy is, like Seth McFarlane pointed out, comedy porn.
@Bwast: It was the joke. It was a 'It reminds me of the time when...' with Peter, did that cutaway gag and then went back to a different scene with Brian. If Family Guy was that funny and that good, they wouldn't need to rely on low brow humour that has zero to with the plot of the episode.
@adoggz: Well you have to sign up for a service and you have to send in your id before they let you online and you have to be over the age of 18 and if your not then they wont let you on. And if your cought not being over 18 but still playing they blow out your mother board.
Thats your only problem with xbox live, immature gamertags? Shouldn't you also have a problem with every other place where people can create usernames.

'What's happened to your son?'
'He died in Iraq.' Explain to me how that's funny in any way. "
It's called crude humor or vulgar humor and it's not suited for everyone. And what's wrong with that line?

It's really not funny and the way it was delivered, you could tell the writer basically proposed it to try and be as shocking as possible. I could imagine the person who finds that funny also finds fart jokes funny. The Family Guy crowd is the lowest common denominator for American humour.
As long as services like live give the ability of being anonymous, there will always be dicks like this. Their probably just some 7th grader who thought it would be cool to be a rebel!
