I've been following TOR with varying levels of attention since the announcement in late 2008, and while it looked bad at first, we all said "Well let's wait and see".  So that's what we did, we waited for the normal MMO development cycle to run its course, and the game never came out; in fact, it looked pretty incomplete.  Fast forward a few months - light at the end of the tunnel!  Spring 2011!  Well that didn't happen either, as of around what I'll call "now-ish";  the game is absurdly behind schedule.  While this, to many less realistic people means nothing but "More polish!", to someone grounded in reality, it's a clear sign of trouble.  The polish stage has long since passed, whatever polish is gained at this point is overshadowed by the age of the game, and the negative aspects of that that outweigh polish anyway, such as graphics.  I've come to the conclusion that this game's odds are very low, I'm sure it'll manage somewhere around 500k subs for a few years, but it'll never really compete with WoW, and I think the initial boom will die out fast

@The_Laughing_Man: EA won't be done for, John Riccitello's career however will be all the way down the shitter.
