Weeb shit. Anime figures, manga, anime blurays, plenty of 'weeb bait' games (senran kagura, valkyrie drive, those kinda of things) that I haven't gotten already, etc..

Really, that's how I feel every year w/ Brad and his arguments. It always feels like he just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again until the person arguing against him on some things just gives up. I'm mainly thinking of his Dota and Destiny arguments in regards to that though. It's quite frustrating to listen.

To be on topic, that's to be expected w/ a Bethesda game. Nice to see people are finally not letting it slide anymore...

Most of them are still playable online, LBPK just went down about 2-3 months ago. I don't think there's a list of them all though. You should have no problem w/ the more popular games though, there's very little chance they won't be online. LBP 1-3 still have there servers going :)

It's an optional skill, you can choose one of 3-4 options (and change which one you have). I'm not sure it'll be your type of game though if that'd be the deal breaker.

I currently have these pre-ordered, not sure if I'll be grabbing anything between Dishonored 2 or Horizon just yet though.

Valkyrie Drive Bhikkuni (Vita) (Oct. 11)

Dishonored 2 (ps4) (Nov. 11)

Horizon: Zero Dawn (Ps4) (2017)

Nier Automata (2017)

I suddenly want to hear what he thinks about Jojo

@tartyron said:

I have similar anime tastes to what he likes so far, and think his tastes would be fairly similar to mine if he saw all the nightmares I've seen.

Speculated list of rules

Specifically, I think his rules would be:

No weird sex, tentacle, underage stuff. This may seem like a gimme, but I don't think he would indulge in the cultural argument for a split second

No magic girls

No teen drama

Yes action

Maybe romance, if there is lots of action in-between

Yes robots, but more military robots, less gundams. and I don't imagine he makes the distinction between robot and power armor/mecha

Yes guns

No swords

Maybe kids stuff (Totoro, etc.)

I played them for the first time two years ago and I just fell in love. I personally thought they held up well for the most part (a lot of discussion I've read seems otherwise?) and the MGS is easily my number one favorite series. I own multiple copies (hd collection digital on ps3 and vita, legacy collection physical for ps3, ground zeroes physical + digital) and don't regret it at all. I do find them a tad difficult to play on the vita but I may just not be used to shooters/stealth games on it.

I didn't find the story difficult to understand at all if you pay enough attention, and I find the 'nanomachines' meme about 4 to be way overblown, and just loved every single thing about them.

Have fun with MGS3, it's easily my favorite of the series!

@madman356647: MGSV was never marketed to be the same as the original games, it was always marketed as more open world and didn't talk about the story that much. The 'E3 graphics' for Watch Dogs were also unfinished, iirc, meaning they were scrapped earlier.

Watch Dogs wasn't marketed on launch w/ the 'E3 graphics', MGSV was never marketed as more than what it was. MGSV had a story, people just weren't happy with it because the fanbase built it up as if it was going to be more than it actually was, and it did close the 'loop', it showed what was going on between MGS3/PW and MG1.

Cinematic trailers aren't gameplay trailers and don't try to pass as gameplay trailers.

The issue w/ NMS is that they still have the E3 footage showing on Steam as if that was the final product (pictures too, I believe), and it's been there for weeks with no sign of any change (or a word from the devs). While Watch Dogs was 'downgraded' from what they initially showed, and MGSV was always ambiguous but never promised more then what was actually there (that was a case of the fanbase building hype, expecting it to be super cinematic like the previous games), No Man's Sky most definitely did and it's still showing itself off as more than what it actually is.

@madman356647: Well, whatever your feelings for MGSV or Watch Dogs they weren't marketed as something they're not after release via trailers/pictures on store pages.
