" Beaters? Yeah sometimes. Singlet? .....are you an amateur wrestler? If so then no it's not "that" strange. Of course if your not a wrestler, Then yeah.... What the fuck is wrong with you? "
This. I really hope we are all talking about Beaters here...
" What pokemon we talking about? because i doubt an army of magikarp would have much of a chance... 'Magikarp used splash... nothing seemed to happen' 'Obi-Wan Kenobi used Light Saber.... Its super effective!' We dine on fried magikarp tonight!! "
Unless Splash only works on Jedi?!?! Mind blown? I think so.
" But depicting their prophet serves no purpose aside from offending Muslims. It's not for any educational purpose- it's just crossing the line for no reason except for shock value. "
Yeah I'm with you on this. But then again I've never been the biggest proponent for South Park. "
That just dodges the issue. That Muhamad gets a special exception. The context literally doesn't matter at all, even bringing it up is a red herring. "
Well then in an attempt to not dodge the issue, I think that Comedy Central has every right to censor the show they allow on air. It's their call, and I feel that whatever decision they make is well within their bounds. I don't think it impinges on freedom of speech in the slightest. The South Park guys can go release it online or something un-censored if they feel like they were slighted. "
We're in agreement here. Im more bothered that this an issue in 2010 on principle. That 20/20 or Dateline could never even do a story on Muhammad, in the context of understanding the enemy's rationale for fighting. Southpark's point in bringing it up was that we've been fighting a war for almost a decade and we're not even allowed to talk about specific core issues pertaining to it for fear of instigating further attacks from people who already have plenty of reasons to hate and attack us. We can't exactly pretend we're winning when fear of reprisal censors TV airing 8 thousand miles away. "
Yeah I see where you are coming from, but I don't think people should be looking at the people as a whole as an enemy. Maybe I'm misunderstanding people but it seems like some people in this thread are taking Muslims and saying that they all are attacking our way of living. I am more of a "If you don't like it, don't watch it" mentality, but some people, and I guess a certain group of Muslims, feel that there are some things that comedy tv or even television as a whole shouldn't touch... I guess there are ways of dealing with that request respectfully.

Bioware for me. I have loved every game by them that I have played, including Jade Empire. And most of them are just flat out amazing That's not to say Bethesda is bad, they also make good games that I have poured hours into. I think ME2 really shifts the balance for me.
" well it was the mariners when they had an awesome team back in the day but now its the yankee's "
This. Only I didn't turn to the dark side. I'm not following MLB anymore (no cable) but if I did I would follow the Mariners, debased as they are. "
its just not the same without edgar martinez, randy johnson, dan wilson, and the younger ken griffey. they are just kinda embarrising now "
The 2001 team was godly. It was a steep decline from then on, but I don't believe in switching teams, so I'm still a fan even after I moved out of Seattle and all the old badass players like Edgar left or retired (I guess Ichiro is still there, I don't know). But if I were to switch teams, I sure as hell wouldn't go to the Yanks. "
Ichiro is still here! And yeah the '01 team was pretty amazing.
The ones that I have listened to have been excellent, but for the most part I don't spend a lot of time listening to them. Most of the important information about the ME universe is told either through story or sometimes by companion characters.
If they had a crazy Mass Effect Dictionary or Tech Guide, IRL, I would totally read through that.
