Stay off of the Bombcast. For the love of God, stay off the Bombcast. I can handle you once in a while, but you are a motor-mouth and a little of you goes a long way.
The Fable 3 that Giant Bomb perceives and the Fable 3 that the rest of the world perceives are so bafflingly divergent. Yes, it had some issues, but they were forgiveable. The real reason the game has been infamous on GB is because Brad screwed up his endgame. He wasn't paying attention -- probably trying to rush through to complete his review -- and now any time the game comes up on the podcast, I find it very frustrating to listen.
I heard how great Arkham Assylum was, played it, and didn't think it was a big deal. The combat looks the part, but bored the pants off me with how simplistic and passive it is. The stealth was half-baked at best. And the game moved along at a snail's pace. Arkham City doesn't really interest me.
BioWare Montreal had 27 employees 2 months ago. You do the math. There's no way they are making a whole game. The only reason they exist is to help the Mass Effect team in Edmonton. It's hard to attract talent to such a cold, desolate place.
I'm here for the personalities, not the reviews/previews. I think Jeff in particular tends to overestimate or underestimate games more than he hands out fair assessments.
" I like the idea of adding more gear to Mass Effect 2, but my biggest concern about these is if they carry over to Mass Effect 3. If ME2 is going to (hopefully) flow smoothly into ME3 through DLC, then there's no reason anything we get from DLC (party members, guns, gear) shouldn't follow with us. Maybe Kasumi and Zaheed go on to other things in ME3, but if I drop cash on some gun that I end up loving, I want to be able to use it for as long as I want in the new game. "
Don't count on any of that happening. I'm sure the guns that are worth keeping will have an analogue in the new arsenal, however.
