@OfficeGamer: Why did you even reply to this? It's kind of a waste of your time and ours to tell us that you don't even know what this game is.

As for me, I'd be grabbing this if I still had a console. I enjoyed the demo that was released over the summer, and I probably would've tried my best to get Bayonetta.

@JasonLeeson:

You're being absolutely ridiculous, if you ask me. I'd understand if you were trying to save money, but I don't understand this newly discovered fetish you seem to have.

I'm sure you're not alone. You are playing on a console, after all.

You can also grab the brawlers, actually. It's nice for doing leg/arm breaks and then getting a stun follow-up in. After they go down, you can kick the shit out of them and then just pound on those fat guys with basic melee combos.

If you have the PC version, there are some mods that essentially allow you to play this game in NG+ mode.

@Mnemoidian: I actually think that Sam was the best character in the game.

The ending would be worse if they gave you the option to choose. I mean, what would they do? Make a game based on the off-chance that you decided to spare Desmond, you selfish pricks?

If it helps, you can play this game with no hud and hints at all. I feel as though the story would be nigh impossible to complete, however, simply because of the QTE boss battles.

Hope to hear more about it when it is released worldwide, but it's looking pretty grim so far. It's probably the only game out the rest of the year I was going to pick up. I just have a feeling this will end up making me feel like Max Payne 3 did. As with Hitman, I loved te hell out Max Payne 1 & 2 and those games pretty much dominated my original Xbox memories. I played Max Payne 3 when it was cheap and hated the fuck out of it. The game forced you to rely on cover too much, and I was not a fan of the "Man on Fire" asthetic with constant cutscenes. I understand Rockstar wanted to make their own take on it, but I felt they just ruined everything that made the character and series awesome. I'll stay hopeful and see the QL and review from here, but honestly I'll probably just end up re-playing all the original Xbox ones on my old CRT!

Not to de-rail, but I disagree with your sentiment on Max Payne 3.  You could shoot-dodge as often as in the previous iterations-- you just had to be smarter about it.  A tactic that I found very handy was initiating bullet-time after landing from a dive, while remaining prone.  That allows you to take out any threats shooting at you while you're exposed, and gives you the option to simply out-gun the competition.  I very much enjoyed Max Payne 3.
