I'm pretty sure that Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed (?) are the only franchises, of the ones you listed, that are supposed to be trilogies.  Don't just assume that because a game has a sequel that means it's a trilogy.  You can have four, five, six, or even thirteen games in a franchise.

I don't have my game yet, but when it comes I'll trade if you're still interested.

If it's because you're having a hard time, then you should know that the most important weapon statistics are the damage types (blunt, edged, piercing), followed by affinity (human, dragon, phantom, etc.).  Elemental attributes are of very little importance, and shouldn't even be considered when deciding what weapon to hit a dude with. "
Thanks for the tip, but no I mean with how dated it's become. Especially with the controls; using L2+R2 to control the camera, circle as the action button the clunky platforming-ish.. I didn't stand a chance! Even when I got accustomed to it, since I still gave it abouts an hour's worth of a chance, I still found it tough to motivate myself to carry on. "
I think it's aged pretty well, but I guess I'm just nostalgic about it.  It is my favorite game after all.

killzone (at least for the multiplayer) and bulletstorm i can agree on.  but crysis 2 is very, VERY similar to cod. "
Only the multiplayer.  Who plays Crysis for the multiplayer?

Yeah, you're not going to be playing the game thinking, "I wish I got version X because this, this, and this is so much better in that version."

So shooters are in a rut because a military sim is a military shooter?  I don't understand.

yeah we have more things to worry about besides that.   imean have you PLAYED the multiplayer?  it's pure bleh "
I really don't see that as something to worry about.  I never even played Crysis multiplayer in its previous incarnations, and I don't think I'm alone in that.  I certainly won't be picking up Crysis 2 for anything but the campaign.
