But you can keep the same frame for everything!  Jump into one world from the TV for one quest, go into another world for another quest.  Just thought of an intro for the game.  They are recording the podcast when brad has to leave early.  They all start doing their British accent brad when he comes running back in exasperated explaining his bus was being attacked by monsters.  Que a quick fight, them barring the door, then news reports explaining the situation, that Luchadeer has gone evil and is taking over.  Thats when their Luchadeer, the real Luchadeer, springs to life and explains he his the god of video games and the video games are only following this imposter because they think it's the real deal.  They must quest to stop him but first must rescue and unite all the capture industry people.

Also, minor things I thought of.

- The primary save point is the bombcast room because that his how the crew sends out their guerrilla signal, updating the fans on their progress.
- Each industry person they rescue should live in the offices and offer a service of some kind, big or small.  Think Sukioden.
- Jeff should need to fight an enemy using guns, but that enemy consists of only heads, forcing him to "face his fears" and take headshots.

"doing random tasks in the office will increase social standing (stats) and earn money "
You have nailed it with this my friend.  The outside world has been taken over by evil video game enemies.  They have hunted all of the most talented video game industry people around and sucked them into the video game world.  They would have gotten the GB crew but their offices are so unassuming, they don't know where to look.  They reverse engineered all of their video capture equipment to capture them and bring them into the video games with the ability to leave at their own will.  Drew is their matrix style "operator."  They are going through different games rescuing different video game famous faces from the games they are known for.  I could write pages on this right now but what do you think? See where I'm going with this?

Whats the setting for this?  I think real world with video game stuff invading would be ideal FUCK I JUST THOUGHT OF A JUNGLER BOSS MID SENTENCE YOU WOULD HAVE TO SHOOT SECTIONS OFF OH MAN YOU SEE WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS like you could have stores be 7-11's with energy drinks and hot dogs as healing items.  You could somehow include people sending them random drinks and foodstuffs in boxes.

I just want to add, this is all very easy for me, sitting here doing other stuff and posting when I think of something, and I think it's awesome that you are doing this.  Do what you can and I suggest doing things one bit at a time.  Make the first area with all the sprites in, the menus set up, a test battle.  Just do everything one chunk at a time, don't worry about the big picture so much.

" @starrjack1: It's a cyborg clone of Luchadeer. The wrinkle is that Luchadeer has been kidnapped and replaced by his dastardly facsimile.  Also, it should be random as to when Vinny casts Bufu and totally outside of the player's control. "
Alright now I'm on board, especially with the random bufu part.   The best part about that will be the early glitched versions where Vinny can only cast bufu.

I will not play a game where Luchadeer is my enemy.  I don't know about the main antagonist, but I know that none of the crew is into Anime and fighting anime stereotypes would be fitting.

You say this is going to happen in such a matter of fact way so i must be late to the party cause thats news to me.  Here are the things that immediately come to mind.

- Vinny can control time and space itself via film editing
- Brad uses the power of dying to somehow defeat foes.  He's the tank basically.
- Luchadeer is some kind of mentor/god/noble sage.  They seek him out for guidance on their mission.
- I think each person should have their own goal.  Jeff's is to save Chie.

Thats what I thought of on the spot.

What was your thought process initially?  That I am just some dude who heard that Europeans don't tip and am thus talking shit about them for it?  If I worked in Europe obviously I wouldn't have a problem with it because I would be paid better.  But in the states when you struggle with a group of Germans that don't speak English, it's a lot of work and can be stressful if your busy, but fine, it's your job and It's not like I know German.  But then they don't tip at all?  RAGE.

All of these posts were getting too long, I stopped reading, but please, let us all be united under one fact:

Of everyone to die, Kate was not one of them, and this is the real tragedy.
