Besides the fact that starting your blog is related to questing, I do actually want to see if anyone will read and respond to my blog posts over time. So here's a little poll:

Do you actually post responses or follow up with people that post on their blog often?

If so, what do you like reading about? I'm sure I'd be able to oblige in some topics with some amount of flourish and humor. :)

Am I the only one that thinks this is an awesome band? I first started listening to them in high school when I heard the song "The Remedy". Still listening to their two albums almost a decade later. If you haven't heard of them before, what do you think?

**For those of yo who may not have played FF7, there may be some minor spoilers**

Often I hear (sometimes from my own mouth, I'll admit) fans gripe about the fact that Square-Enix teased us with this tech demo and never pursued a remake of the original game. While I am not a total fanatic Final Fantasy 7 devotee (I do agree that a lot of the story is nonsense, but it was my first foray into the JRPG world), it is and has been one of my favorite and most nostalgic games (I'm 23, so FF7 reminds me of good times).

So my question is this: If the slate were clean and you had this cool idea for a game that included a dude with mixed up memories from a tragic past and a villain that almost destroys the world by way of meteor mother, as well as a love interest that makes boys cry halfway through the game, etc. etc. -- how would you have made it?

Would it have been an RPG? Action Adventure? 3rd Person Shooter? Puzzle? Would Vincent really be a vampire? Would the characters have voices? Would you have made Barret a mute? How would you have done the materia system different? What aspects of the story would you cut out or expand on? Would you include equipment crafting, item management, or mini-games? Would you have included an inventory system? If so, would it be like the one in the original game?

Hopefully this doesn't become a joke thread. I like to think of it as a game design challenge for people who love and play games, and if I get a response, I'd like to make threads like these a regular thing. I plan to contribute as well. Cheers!

I do agree that it is a strange day to release a change to the site, but I must say, the navigation bar really needed an overhaul. I still wish the videos section was more defined and it was easier to browse videos, articles, and such. As of now, it's a pretty "Click to load this", "Click to load this", "Click to go to this page", and then finally, "There's the video I was looking for!"

Still love GB though, so I guess I can't complain. Especially when they are so good to us.

ALL HAIL THE BOMB OF GIANTS!!!

Played it at ComicCon this year and I wasn't too impressed... Don't know if I care enough about it to buy it, even after a delay.

Awesome sauce.

Awesome sauce because I finally got a PS3. Otherwise it would just be sauce.

Original was a classic, hopefully this one will rectify some of the gameplay problems and introduce some cool mechanics. It is Wonderland, after all. There must be some cool things they could do there...

Can it be Altair? He still has all his fingers on both hands. Maybe the glove has a fake one. Who am I to say for sure? I like the design, and it looks like they're moving forward in the memories with the Animus. Probably going into England in the 16th century or something. Who knows? Maybe we'll be Jack the Ripper or something like that...
